Lack of "personalisation"

What do you think about the ability to extract gems from weapons similarly to how it currently works with runes? I would like to be able to configure my weapon as the game progresses. Maybe the ability to personalize weapons more would be interesting, currently I miss the feeling of uniqueness of the weapon I fight. Generally, I miss the feeling that accompanied me before - what interesting thing will I find this time. For now I am only level 21, but I feel less satisfaction from the prefixes that I draw by enchanting weapons or finding an enchanted one. I play in Polish and unfortunately the translation is very unclear, I often switch to English to understand what it might be about. For example, confusing “able” with “unable”, etc.
