Innkeeper's husband's quest possible bug

Hello Everyone,

Well i don’t know if it’s a bug but once i entered the city in sacrament, i didn’t talk to Caroline Directly and proceed to upgrade several things first with Danos.

The problem is that i don’t have the “western bridge key” that i’m supposed to get once the quest "innkeepers husband " starts.

But the quests won’t and i think it’s stuck

Do someone has the same problem ?
Will i unlock it later ? or is it dead for ever ?

You have to find her husband first and he’ll be standing close to where the key is located. When you’re down in the Shallows by the Saltborn tower, you’ll hear his shouts, giving you a clue as to where to find him.

But the problem is that i didn’t have the quest existing in my log book.

In fact Gordon is at his post as the cook in Sacrament and Caroline Didn’t give me the quest and i think she won’t ever asks me to go retrieve his husband in the shallows.
Actually, she’s at the Inn and about her dialogue there’s nothing about the quests.

So Gordon is not appearing near the bridge above the Saltborn Tower unfortunately.

I think the game “thinks” that i already acoomplished the quest in a way because i upgrade his stove

Ah, I see what you mean. The quest actually becomes possible later on in the story in the Breach Refined patch. I think it’s after you defeat the River Twins in the Nameless Pass. You’ll find Caroline standing at the entrance to Gordon’s restaurant and the quest starts at that point, once you talk with her.

I was also wondering what happened to the quest, knew it had to happen sometime. Even had all the vendors upgraded to Lv. 3, but it was only after I killed the River Twins that it seemed Gordon’s quest was finally triggered.

To absolutely clear, Cerim_Crazed (lol what a name) is right that you need Nameless Pass storyline to finish as a requirement, on top of that you also need to complete The Black Trench (Of Rats and Raiders). Following those 2 resolutions something will happen in Sacrament upon which the quest activates.
