Alright so, Patch 2 came out and brought some nice additions and features.
(At the cost of lowering the performance quite a bit, unfortunately)
However, i still see some flaws in some things, so here’s a list of what features i’d like to be changed or added.
Anyways, here’s the list!
- Overwriting Runes
Sometimes, when i create a weapon and then enchant it, it might happen that i don’t like the first rune of the weapon.
And honestly, this has happened a few times already.
So, it’d be nice to be able to overwrite that rune, so that i can replace it with another one that i have in the storage.
Obviously, the rune that gets replace would be lost forever.
…
1.1 Moving Runes
Also, another problem that i have, mostly due to muscle memory, is that i happen to put the same runes in a lot of weapons, and because i put it in a specific pattern, when i can’t do it, my muscle memory fucks everything up.
So, it would be nice to be able to move the runes from one slot to another, so that i can keep everything organized and conforming in accord to my muscle memory.
…
1.2 Be able to extract only ONE rune without breaking the weapon
I’ve honestly been a lot of times in a situation where i wanted to pick up a rune from a specific (and most of the times enchanted) weapon, both because i wanted to replace it with another rune and also because i didn’t wanna lose the rune i wanted to extract.
So, it would be nice to be able to spend either some money or some experience to extract only ONE rune without breaking the weapon itself.
Then, i dunno what would be best.
Either-
- Not being able to extract other runes
OR
- Being able to extract a second rune, BUT this time the weapon would finally break
Honestly, i think option 2 is better.
But i’ll leave this one to you.
- “Favorite” Weapons
Honestly, im a guy that wants to try every weapon, and then, when i find those that i like, i obviously keep them.
Despite having both three weapon slots (primary and secondary), i still carry almost two rows of other weapons, so that i can always change them whenever i like.
Well, since some of them are not enchanted and i have set my inventory organization to “rarity”, they get confused with other (let’s call them “trash”) weapons and armor (because they are weapons and armor that i wanna sell)
So, because of this, it has happened once that i accidentally sold one of my most used weapons, and i regretted it so much.
That’s why, to avoid these kind of mistakes, and to keep the inventory more organized as well, i’d suggest to be able to favorite weapons, so that:
-
You won’t be able to sell them
-
You will always keep them in the upper inventory, always according to how you’ve set up the inventory’s organization
(For me, as i said before, its set up by rarity) -
And lastly, i’d suggest to split up the inventory in two sections:
“Favorites” and “Non favorites”
(Not two separate tabs, but two inventory sections in the same tab, kinda like how furnace is set up, to make an example)
- Being able to see the entirety of the upgrade process
Honestly, it has happened a lot of times that two, three, four, etc. of the same weapon have different damage outputs, because of RNG.
And i don’t even know if upgrading a weapon/armor goes through an RNG process as well (for the damage output, i mean)
But if it doesn’t, it would be nice to see how much damage it would do for every upgrade, in order to be able to compare it with other weapons
Because i’ve already been in a lot of situations in which a feature like this would’ve been really useful.
So, singularly, for every tier and upgrade to the next tier, it would be nice to see the corresponding damage output.
In this way, i’d be able to use my resources a lot more wisely.
…
3.1 Being able to have a “refund” for already upgraded weapons and armor
This is also kinda a direct consequence of the last part.
But honestly, it doesn’t apply just to weapons and armor that i don’t like in terms of damage output and armor points, but also the ones that i don’t use anymore.
So, it would be nice if i could have a refund of just the needed resources for every single upgrade.
I took inspiration for this point from Enotria: The Last Song.
However, with exploration of older areas being at the center of the gameplay loop as well, i can understand this feature might be too overpowered.
So, im just gonna propose it as an idea, but its fine if this one in particular doesn’t get accepted.
- Reroll enchantments
Honestly, with the mechanic of the RNG damage output that you have when dropping and buying weapons (but here im mostly referring to buying weapons), i have spent a lot of money in trying to find weapons with the highest damage output, only to go enchant them and find out that the roll was pretty trash.
It doesn’t happen everytime, but still, it happens a lot of times.
And honestly, this has annoyed me a lot.
For this reason, a “reroll enchantments” feature would be nice to see.
My idea, to make it fun but also not quite exploitable, would be to use either money or experience, and every time you reroll, the price gets increased.
You could also add a max number of rerolls, like 5 for example.
(So it would be the first time enchantments + 5 optional rerolls)
This would also encourage people in enchanting even more, and could help them create way more fun builds as well.
And, it wouldn’t make people spend a lot of money to get the weapons with the highest damage outputs, just to be flabbergasted because the RNG sucked that time on that specific weapon.
Anyways, this is it!
These are all my suggestions and ideas for the future.
And honestly, i seriously hope they will be introduced in later patches.
(But as i said before, at least regarding the “refund” feature, if this one is considered too overpowered for this game, there’s no problem, i accept it)
(However, i do think the other features i listed truly deserve to be added in the game, because as of right now, without them i feel like something’s missing)
As i said before, they would make the game experience even more enjoyable!
…
And lastly, i hope that Patch 3 will bring performance fixes, because Patch 2 probably just worsened everything.
But anyhow, let me know what do you all think in the comments!
I hope you will agree with me!
