At the moment, in early access, there are just runes that can be inserted into weapons. But what if we made it so that runes had something like support gems, similar to Path of Exile 2? Yes, it’s kind of copying from another game, but why not?)
I suggest making it so that runes can be upgraded to apply effects, grant buffs, etc., just like it’s implemented in Path of Exile 2. Especially since the developers themselves gave some examples with PoE2 in their Steam videos.
Maybe I want to build a mage who can freeze enemies with a ground slam and apply bleed at the same time, or an archer who can shoot arrows in a circle and apply fire with lightning effects - that is, combining elements.
I would also like to see some mechanics of elemental interactions in the game, because right now, as I understand it, only one element works on an enemy at a time. Why can’t I hit with different elements together with a friend and double the damage on the enemy because of that?
I think the idea of support gems for runes is good, because it would allow deeper character and build development in the late game. But that doesn’t mean there would be a high barrier to entry. If well-made tutorial videos showing how it works are created, it would be much easier. Moreover, it could be designed so that support gems aren’t necessary at the early stages of the game.
