… So the crafting system trivializes the game, but it’s ok because it takes forever to get the broken gear?
that’s wrong,
because the kind of craft we talk about is possible only in end game.
Once you have finished the game and all you still can do for make the game longer is to search and test and craft for that kind of builds.
I never been broken while my progress personally.
I have been discussing this with my friends and we were thinking of a test realm where you could spawn and set values for items and then try them out. At least then you could build-test better.
Overall though the only thing that bothers me is the current Facet system. way too much RNG and wasted resources.
As for the rest of it: This game falls in between a Diablo/PoE and a souls like, and as such i think the drop rate of decent enchantment rolls on gear is just right. I wouldn’t mind seeing Embers drop a little bit more often, but considering the hours it takes to get enough enchantments and embers to fully max out a build I think it sits right at the balance point of where a hybrid game should be. When I played PoE I recall grinding maps for hours and days just to get enough chaos and regal orbs to trade for one piece of gear.. This game has slower combat and the decent rolls are more frequent. I look forward to when i can just go on grind mode with a build! I enjoy the repetition as it is all just fight practice… unless you play a mage, then its just hit the I win button hahaha
Sounds like you may need to brush up on your theory crafting abilities lol You can beat all content with practically ‘useless’ equipment even on the hardest difficulty. I can atleast agree that RNG has gotten a little annoying after many years of playing Diablo and other titles. Is it really “RNG” if it’s seemingly geared against you?
i full agree that ^-^
Then i guess RNG is hard, for you can’t craft broken build at start, and need hours farming for that,
So beter do the story mode with full gems brown stuff, that is quiet enougth for story mode,
And give you the time to collect and stock all materials you’ll need in end game for craft broken builds for fun at end game ^-^
I actually feel like leveling up with gems only is easier than with enchants. They make up for stamina issues right away. Barriers make you really tanky and they refresh between fights. You don’t even need to upgrade a lot of gear because you can just transfer the gems without destroying them to higher level gear as you find it. If you have a big collection of gems already, once your character hits max level, max out the gems and you have a decently strong build for farming for it.
you mean they fixed it? It wouldn’t activate for me lol
Might actually be working too well now since there is (or was recently) a bug refreshing out-of-combat barriers on a weapon swap.
I don’t know how it was when it was broken. It’s been working fine for me. The bug of refreshing mid combat with weapon swap is still there, but I never needed it. It works out of combat as well, which is a quick way to refresh a partial barrier, but I think that relates more to weapon swaps resetting buffs which is a deeper issue than it working in combat.
