I'm so disappointed with the patch

The reason why is: I expected you to balance wepons and classes individually but clearly instead of this you literrally butchered the enchantments and only two rings xd so this leads us to nerf broken builds yes but it m*rdered all the other averrage builds so I hope on 1.0 you will do some fine tuning on this problem.

I agree, it’s easy to blanket nerf all builds and still have some much better than others since the relative difference is the same. If they really want to balance things right now, they need to balance weapon movesets, values and weapons within the same class.

Or, they just leave balancing altogether till the game has all the features finished. They should not do this half-hearted measure.

Right? I mean this way they just hurts my trust. I’ve been following the game more than 1 yearish, been played 600ish hrs and never saw a significant class/rune/weapon based balancing as huge as this “blanket nerf” like you said.

Yeah I was hoping they would either do a thorough balancing or just leave it for later. Doing a sloppy job like this is just a bad idea, don’t do anything at all instead.

So many weapon classes are totally outclassed or too similar to others. For examples, Rapiers are extremely slow (slower than swords), but do lower damage and stance damage than faster weapon types for no reason. They recently changed their moveset in the Together update (not Patch 1), and never addressed the issue compared to other weapons. Similarly, Staffs are just terrible as 2-handed options except for casting Runes, which technically Wands do better as well.

Development, is in parts… especially in EA. If you want a finished all-in-one update you need to wait for 1.0 maybe till you play.

They cannot change everything at once, or fix everything at once, or balance everything at once. It has to be done, and pushed on, in sections and phases. Welcome to Early Access.

You totally get the whole point wrong our perspective is not about complainĹźng bc of the game is unfinished the problem is if it will change or cause more problems on 1.0 its pointless to serve that thing as a patch or update at least this is my perspective

And also this is not what we expext but the problem is the way and order what they try ro fix.

You cant remove the oversalted meals salt after the meal cooked or its pointless to add butter after you cook the egg with dry pan if does it make any sense lol

The developers aren’t clairvoyant, and neither are you. Things on EA are meant to be tested by the players. And that data is then used to further influence future changes. It’s not a checklist from 1-10 with no looking back.

My man I know what ea means this is not my first game I play ever but you dont see the nonsense here.

The method they try to test thing are not healthy so it wont help anything in the future at all.

They are trying to paint a beautiful sunset view with a sunglasses I don’t know how else I can explain the situation with my imperfect english. Lol

The whole point is its a very bad idea to nerf global stats before fine tune and trust me they have very good data to know imbalances between those weapons/movesets/runes since they are on ea for 2 years.

I know you love the game I also love the game but you have to be logical when its about the improvements.

Honestly, I feel like the nerfs are only because of the near consensus on these forums & the discord about what was too strong.

They nerfed everything that people were saying was too strong, just to appease the people on the forums. It appears that either the people complaining didn’t have the right idea about how to fix the balance, or those people complaining the most were not describing the power balance correctly. These sweeping nerfs are clearly targeting things the forums discussed, but the changes were apparently too heavy.

Maybe it would have been better to not nerf the game until the new systems are in place, but then the game would be broken in a way that does not reflect the intentions of the devs.

Personally, I would rather my character be too weak for now and get stronger with balance passes, as opposed to having a way too powerful character that trivialized the game in unintended ways. Then when they bring balance into line with their vision, I would not be able to enjoy it as much. I would have been spoiled by the excess power level that the devs didn’t want to have in the first place.

https://youtu.be/61e0o3Gkjlg?t=421&si=1gaKVXTMOqBW5U9R I tried to express my thoughts and feelings as much as I can in the video and this spesific part is about what they are doing wrong. They should have nerf the game slowly in time until 1.0 so that wont be a big deal but when you cut things out like this it will cause some dmg to the community imo.
