I love this game and would like to share my feedback and ideas

I love this game. I have about 130 hours total on this game so far so clearly I’m enjoying what you have made! I’m happy to share ideas that have popped over over play time that may be helpful hopefully because the only thing I want at this point is to say thanks and give back in some way.

I love some of the weapon move sets in this game so much that I will make a character just to enjoy playing those characters for a while just to enjoy them. Most recently that’s been the Shatter Sun the hybrid Str/Int weapon, Summer’s Sting is on the list to make a character for eventually but I get tunnel vision on 1 guy for far too long, so yeah eventually! haha

The only 2 thoughts I have with some of these weapons, is that 1, I hope you don’t forget about them if/when you do the class system and give them a home and 2, sometimes it can take a long time to get a drop on a playthrough. I think I was about level 24+ before I got the Shattered Sun to drop in the most recent playthrough with Breach. I don’t feel that this is ideal, but it’s also not a deal breaker either. Perhaps some sort of quest could be out there to get an unenchanted version of most specialty weapons so that there is a direct path a player could work towards to unlock one could be an idea. Or some way to target farm certain weapon/armor/shield drops might be another.

The new wands are quite cool! Part of the reason I went Str/Int was to give them a test as well and I did like them so now I need to make a Int guy to dig into the later ones I don’t have the stats for now. The only off the cuff ideas I have with the wands is I think it would be cool to have an off-hand item that would allow you to do a charge attack like a melee weapon, or perhaps add some stagger damage.. something to boost the offensive power of them so instead of a off-hand shield perhaps a Magic Focus, or Buckler? You could even consider allowing a parry with one on but no hold down to block. IDK something like that might be cool. But also it could make wands OP so I imagine you have already considered this sort of thing already.

Besides alt’s to try different builds you could consider allowing a character to have multiple builds and to activate a different build maybe it could be an item you consume and have to use a bed in your home in Sacrament to activate? Something you could only do in town so it couldn’t be exploited out in the field is the idea.

It would be cool if we could overwrite enchantments on an item; say you wanted to try armor with an decrease in weight but later decide to swap it with a gem that gives more armor instead. If this exists already then I just missed it.

I like the new food item use in combat, and the ability to stack more than 20 of a type in 1 slot is also amazing.

The new map area and fights are awesome. I did have the windmill in my main playthrough map bug so that I couldn’t climb it. Searching for it I see other people had the same issue where you just clip through and can’t climb it. Luckily I learned that this was just an item chest up there and the like so it’s no big deal, but you sort of dump out there after the boss fight so initially I was worried that I needed to get up there was something story related so it was a concern. Perhaps allowing that switch to reset the windmill would be good for the live release to avoid this confusing players.. something to help you not get tickets on it is my thinking there.

Enemy difficulty seems easier at the start but eventually ramps up nicely. I sort of miss the harder low level enemy threat but I can see why this may be a better system to get people into it. The enemy AI still seems a bit poor in Breach vs prior release.. I’m just going off memory here so I can’t say for certain but they seem to easily miss you on a charge attack and just get way out of line in combat which you can exploit easily. Later on when diff ramps up and there are multiple hard enemies this isn’t a concern but I mention it because it seems quite different than what I remember. I’m not saying anything needs to be changed here, just sharing observations. It’s a weird sort of thing where I don’t love that they seem more stupid, but also at the same time I remember being horribly pressured in the earlier release with certain enemies depending on my own loadout. I haven’t run into that yet which is nice, but I also do miss the challenge somewhat. So I’m of two minds about this one.

I haven’t even dug into the endgame stuff yet and this is what I have so far. I’m sure more ideas will come to mind! Thanks again for this great game. All my best -Gio

I’m just going to add notes as I come across ideas and so forth.

Can sprint forever out of combat moving around is great!

Persistent spells stay after changing weapons such as illuminate feels good.

Pestilence area spawn enough to keep the energy going when not doing crucible; however as crazy as it might sound it might be neat to be able to use some item to initiate it for hunting.
