How difficulty is scaling online?

We started game all 4 online and i feel world is wuch harder even when i connect alone. I started new world and it feels easier. I play on max difficulty both. So is first world is more difficult because we started together? And it keep this difficult even when a play alone or duo? Or its my emagination?

Multiplayer

• Party System
  • Players will be considered in a group if they are near each other. You can tell if someone is part of your current group by the chain-link symbol & if their player portrait is fully visible
  • Enemies have increased scaling only when players are specifically in your group.
    • 2 Players: +15% damage, +20% health
    • 3 Players: +20% damage, +25% health
    • 4 Players: +30% damage, +35% health
  • More enemies will spawn based on how many people are in your current group, which will dynamically update in your current zone

The difficulty in multiplayer comes from the fact that in the same small area, there are now more mobs spawning. In single player you might encounter only a single mob in a tight corner, but in multiplayer there could be 2 or 3 mobs in that tight spot.
Damage/ HP numbers per mob remains the same So if your friends are chopping up some tree on the side, and you walk into that corner with the mobs alone, you’re in for a rough time than you would be in single player.
