Having the realms scale to the player who made it is a problem

I have a mid 20s character and i cant really start a new character and play on the same realm as all the monsters are at the level for my main character. please let me know if i am wrong or doing something wrong.

Start a new realm for that character then when you get stronger go to the other realm
