Getting Builds Going

When I play, I usually focus a lot on builds and different play styles…

In the lategame its already great -
You choose what elements of gameplay you like and focus on those through items. Parrygod? Make parrying deal tons of damage and heal you. Like to dodge and big dmg? Play 2h. Like Ranged? Focus on a huge Focusbar and consumables. Like being a Tank? Focus on self-heal and lots of defenses.

Question

Currently it feels like more niche builds rely too much on RNG, to get off the ground. Gems are a great start, but would it be possible to get some more help, to play the style we prefer earlier?

The help could come in different forms - For example: Targeted crafting, versatile starting talents, varying starting Attributes, More Gem options, Set attributes on items (adapt item choice to play style) and more generic items for sale at vendors → crafting targets and choices for play styles

Thank you for your time!

I agree.
I (tried to) made a Staff character and up the second boss i used a Claymore because it was the only viable weapon i found.

I vote for some NPC who sells random weapons and gear.
I am thinking a little towards the merchant NPCs in Diablo II who gave you the opportunity to get low level basic gear if you are unlucky to find something.
That could be Filmore or Grinnich for example, especially since both can be found before Warrick.
