GAME VERSION MISMATCH error messages prevent normal gameplay

Currently, my Realm save file only works for single-player mode and cannot be shared with others. Whenever I upload the Realm save to the server and attempt to play, it displays the error: GAME VERSION MISMATCH. PLEASE ENSURE ALL MEMBERS ARE ON THE LATEST VERSION.
This might be because during today’s update to version 26769, I was switching the Realm save file back from shared mode to single-player mode. I repeatedly manually overwritten the save file, which was still on version 26737 at the time.

I can provide the save file and log files. Is there any way to help me play this Realm normally on version 26769?

It looks different, but I’m not entirely sure. I don’t get this cloud save prompt every time, but after numerous attempts—including deleting the save file and manually loading the old one—I do feel that the cloud save feature has been persistently storing corrupted save files., and my manual load attempts can’t fix it.

Is there anything I can do?

edit: please allow me access by updating the permissions for that location your link is pointing towards.

You can do so by:

  • Right click the folder/files → share → share (again) → set “Restricted” to “Anyone with the link” and permission on “Viewer”

Moreover, the problem I encountered earlier resolved itself inexplicably.I thought I wouldn’t be able to play with my friends today, but when I tried switch this Realm to online—and everything worked perfectly this time. I’m hesitant to switch this Realm back to private mode for now. I’ll leave it like this for the time being.

If I understand correctly, you just kept trying to Share the Realm and suddenly it worked? Nice persistency :flexed_biceps:

Just so you know, I’m the guy from the other topic.
Sharing the realm also worked for me, and kicking my friend (and making my realm private again in the process), solved the problem entirely.

It’s working as intended now, so you might want to take a shot (in case you want it private).

Hello everyone. I am getting the Game Version Mismatch. I am the Host of the server and I installed the update this morning. Now when joining my shared server I am unable to join due to server mismatch. Have verified 3 of the 4 members have update their game but not the last as he is currently unavailable. No one is still in the server from prior to the update. I have closed and checked for new updates. I have verified game files. I have tried changing the server region and closing and reopening the game. Still cannot get into the game. Any ideas?

If you need more data I also have been having this issue, it occurs when removing and re adding a player to the realm, my realm is also single player locked atm
