Game Crashes - Plagued Sigrid's Vow in Marin Woods

Game crashes when fighting Sigrid’s Vow spawned in Marin. Seems to happen when the boss does the 'Shriek’ or ‘Scream’ move OR the large sweep with sword.. 8 instances included in log files.

Well that sucks ughPoors. Thanks for the report!

I will escalate this.

In the meantime, maybe you could invite someone to get past this boss?

I have a feeling there is some kind of odd interaction between the reflective water surface where the boss spawned and the shimmering waves that emanate from the boss during certain moves. I was able to get around the crash by pulling the boss up the stairs at the front of the arena (the watery area in front of the entrance to the Temple of Day and Night).

I experience consistent game crashes when fighting certain bosses. Usually the bosses at the end of the pestilence outbreak, Sigrid’s Vow and the flying bat-like creatures. The crashes only seem to happen with those particular bosses.

I am regularly able to recreate these crashes. Sometimes I can prevent the crash by playing the boss fights really slow, and not using my voltaic weapons, but that doesn’t always work. My “Reports” folder is empty despite experiencing four crashes in the hour.

In the the link, you’ll find the four videos from today’s gameplay, and all the requested log/user files. Obviously, the videos end right as the game crashes (I used Steam to record the gameplay).

Hi, I just started playing the game and I’ve been experiencing severe frame drops during the Warrick boss fight and in some areas of the city of Sacrametn. I’m not sure if this is an issue that’s already been reported.

I have a 5070 Ti, 7800X3D, and 64 GB of RAM.
Settings: Better Quality, DLSS Quality, VSync on, CNN, Motion Blue

Hey marin,

Let’s focus on the trouble you experiernce Warrick.

You can report your performance problems within Sacrament here: [Combined] Game runs unplayable bad. (Performance issue) .

Could you tell me if the frame drop happens during a certain animation from Warrick? The OP of this topic has named two that caused him problems, let me know if those also line up with your experience!

Silas

Yeah, it starts with that big purple crash animation—sorry, I don’t know what those moves are called lol—and from there on out, the frame rate drops completely. We’re talking about a steady 120–144 FPS at first, then it drops to 40 during those moves, and we’re hovering around those numbers. I just started playing the game, so sorry for being so vague.

Don’t worry I have a good visual now what you mean  .

I will escalate this if you could be so kind to provide some files for us. Please see which and how to submit them here: How to Properly Report Bugs!
