Gearing
I really like the gearing system and how it works in general, you have a lot of fun and different affixes on gear and I love it, but I have two big issues with it.
1, Tooltips
First one is tooltips, right now some of them are hard to understand, what does faitaliy mean? I know what it means now but I had to google it.
There is an effect on gear that states that burning is applied faster, but there is also an effect that states that infections apply faster. What is an infection? Is it plague? I assume its all dots since there is a defensive stat that states that you take reduced damage after any infection is applied to you, but my point is there is no way to know these things ingame and I think for example that our ability to “inspect stats” on our character should also work on gear, so that we can inspect and see what all the different affixes actually does, without having to guess.
2, Clarity
This is also somewhat a tooltip issue again, I really dislike the fact that when rerolling on gear, I have no clue what I can and cannot roll into. I have been doing a lot of rerolling and I have noticed that I often reroll into the same stats over and over again. This leads me to believe you are using a similar system to Diablo 3 rerolling, so that some affixes can only be rerolled to other “similar” affixes. Therefor I also think you should adapt the same system as Diablo 3 is using and show us what we can reroll to on our items, this would be a good QL. Furthermore following yet another one of Diablo 3’s changes I think we should not just get a “random” one of these affixes when rerolling but maybe a choice between 1-3. That way I wont reroll bomb dmg % into - Bomb chance not to be consumed - into bomb dmg % again, its just a very feelsbad moment and I think we all dislike those.
Pestilence
Again I really love the pestilence system and when I saw it in the announcement for breach I got very hyped for it, I am a player that likes to challenge myself and push my skills+my builds higher. However the current way the pestilence system tries to make the game harder right now, I find boring and it warps gameplay towards what I feel is a negative experience.
The main problem is the Affix-System
I want to start by saying that I know how the system works, you can put in any items and go past the stages 1-4 for stronger enemies, better loot and more affixes you get, and that if you put in items from pestilence you get less of the affixes in the current pestilence area.
Now to my issue
I really like affixes that buff the enemies, so lifesteal, more dmg, less dmg taken at high health, etc - They are all good Affixes and its fun to play against them, it makes the game harder in a meaningful way and changes the way I play.
I hate the affixes that nerf my character, so losing stamina on dmg taken, losing focus on dmg taken, being slower when enemies are near you - These affixes suck, they make me feel bad about playing the game and the way they warp the game is just feels negative, because the way to beat em is just stunlocking enemies or killing them in one hit etc etc.
The one Afifix that nerf my character that I feel is okay is the, + dmg taken after eating.
My suggestion is therefor to add more affixes that buff enemies - Higher enemy hp, enemies are harder to stagger, enemies are harder to infect, enemies ignore your first hit - things similar to this.
For things that nerf my character, I just want them gone or do stuff similar to the food, so that when I eat I take more dmg for awhile or maybe add a 2 sec CD to eating.
