Suggestions (25y ARPG vet)

Wanted to start by saying I am really loving the game and have nearly 300 hours logged. With that said I have a few suggestions and opinions to offer.

First off the Pestilence areas. Can we get more mob density or more bar progress per mob at max pestilence? Currently you need to kill nearly everything in some zones just to fight the boss? Maybe add a way to speed up the progression bar or access slightly faster boss farms?

The other thing.

Are there too many stats like these in Wicked (stagger dmg when X happens)? On plagued items there are already negative affixes that come with it. Can we get more affixes that are just overall good and less (Diablo 4 meme) Damage on Tuesdays type mods? I’ll use Diablo as an example. One of the biggest problems for many I knew was that affixes felt very underwhelming and undesirable like damage while slowed, or damage while vulnerable or w.e. There was just far too much setup needed to make build crafting around these stats worth while. Since blizzard has changed these stats the game feels 100x better (not that I think it’s great). I feel like this is very similar problem in Wicked.

Maybe re visit some of these situational item affex and change them to something more appealing to the player..

Overall I love the game and can’t wait to see what’s next. These are just a few things I thought about during my playthrough. Hope it helps :blue_heart:

You can use embers to Add/Reroll enchantments.

Yeah those enchantment require more setup to be useful. But you could build around those premise (Low Health) which affected by negatif affix %max Health reduce.

If you familiar with many build at YouTube, there is some build around Low Health and use those affix. Which I think add more diversity at possible build and playstyle, so people can chose between extreme build with specific constraint or generic safe to play build.

not sure this would work, as i understood these affixes lower your max hp, so you are at 100% just with less total. And for the buff effect to apply you would have to be at x% of the new lowered max hp. but again, not 100% sure if it works that way.

For more clarity, here link for video reference. He use negative enchantment to 4 equipment (Max Health decreased by 14%), total -52% health which in the zone of Low Health.

Note about enchantment from the video, he combine 3 Low Health enchantment:

  1. Stagger Damage increased by 12%-30% at Low Health - weapon
  2. Damage Taken decreased by 12%-30% at Low Health - armor
  3. Stamina Cost decreased by 15%-30% at Low Health - pants

Which can be further enhance with - Dodge Stamina Cost decreased by 20%-40% at Low Health - bow - if use 1 hand weapon

Or with - Focus Cost decreased by 15%-20% at Low Health - helmet

interesting, i always thought it would only reduce your max hp, while still keeping you at 100% of the new hp. basically making the total number of hp smaller but keeping the “smaller” bar full. but it actually reduces your “hp bar”. then forget what i said and carry on :smiley:

I thought same in the past, perhaps it need rephrase like “% of max hp as inactive/unusable” and have display cue like grey health bar.

would maybe be enough to just say “health decreased by…” and yeah, grey out the remaining, empty HP bar

The Watcher sells an item called effigy if i remember correctly, which when burned in pestilence area increases pestilence level by 1 and immediately spawns boss.
