Feedback and some suggestions/thoughts to consider

Yo everyone,
It’s nice to be a part of this community, i play games for a long time (before ps1) but never been in a community before.
So, Moon got my attention since the first Ori game and since then i immediately trusted their work because it was never half-baked in the end(from art, music, writing, feel of the game), which is rare nowadays. Seeing games that want to make you feel them and take your time enjoying rather than just finishing them like a to-do list is like treasure hunting.

I started after The Breach update since i was waiting for more content and i was glad to hear they went independent. I have like 23 hours in and i am on the last quest (tried only 2h sword, sword/one handed axe and shield for now for straight forward reasons, i keep the flashy ones for after the class system comes out).
As of now i like it in every way i haven’t met any displeasing issues in major level.

Difficulty is subjective, i like harder approach which is available with hardcore mode if it ever gets to feel easy and with the custom realms they are planning it sounds like a joy. Making adjustments to the realm will make replayability much more satisfying especially for multiplayer.

Cant wait for co-op and the job system plus faction/guild quests which will expand the experience.

Art, music etc. are very good we could have a little more background ambience.

Pacing is good.

Combat feels very nice(i want to try more still to have a better opinion on that)

Optimization is a bit lacking sometimes on fps (ryzen5800x+6750xt+32gb ddr4 ram+ ssd nvme on 1080p) and still there are sometimes like in town or random fps drops that feel like stuttering/lag (its not much or game breaking but happens now and then). We are still on early access though.

The only bug i encountered was Lara not opening the door at weeping sisters but with exiting the game and logging in again it progresses normally.

The thief merchant (Finnley i think is the name) only sells level 1 items to me maybe its sth i haven’t figured yet since i don’t like using guides dictating how i will play.

One thing that could be reworked is the ink rewards i guess, it feels a bit strict to have to sacrifice ring slots or hand slot for more on-the-go-inventory, except if they are not limited and you can farm them till you max everything (i haven’t reached there yet). An idea could be that if instead of adding a row of 5items to a specific inventory with 1 ink you could merge and balance that by making it one choice for the inventory upgrade that gives more space to every category with 1 ink but at a lower rate like 2-3 slots and leave all other the same.

I would like to have even more Lore and development (not in a bad state i just want more)

I don’t want fast travel.

A not mechanic thing i would like for the immersion to the world would be if the daily bounties/quests had some form of reason to happen and an aftermath that you can see.
For example instead of just bringing back lets say 10 steaks of meat and that is it, it could be like having the beggars/poor roam and become frustrated annoyed and when you complete it you can see soldier giving food to the poor. Or lets say you must bring a number of wooden planks, it would be more immersive if a random building structure (different every time) had some kind of dmg and after you finish you see them repairing it.
That kind of thing and in a simple way no need to overdo it, just make it matter more in the immersion and not just coins i think is overlooked. i would do it for free for example just to see interactions. Same could be done with the plague system which you already did to give life to the world which is way harder, i think.

Customization is ok right now but could be better in housing, changing gear appearance etc is welcome for the gear a good system i think is something ripping the appearance of a piece of armor by destroying it to apply it to another.

Not much to say for other things because they aren’t out yet. Co op/multiplayer will be addressed when it comes out.
And char building is going to be addressed after the job system.

Sth i do not really care about is PVP. (i just prefer the big focus of the developers being in making the game better, deeper, bigger, more immersive rather than leaving it to use precious hundreds hours on making whole patches balancing reworks and changes for the sake of having people compete and keep them “competitive players in singleplayer games” happy everytime sth becomes meta and is abused and they lose.) History of gaming show that pvp games were and will always be poor on anything besides fighting each other since the time spent on that could be a whole new “The Breach big update” and more, we dont need everygame to be jack of all trades but master to nothing. There are games for pvp and singleplayers that are both respectful in their areas each.

Hope you are all well. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks for your time whoever read this. And keep up the good work Moon.
