Feature Requests and Suggestions to Elevate the Experience

Passive Stat Bonuses

  • Investing points in stats could be more engaging if each stat had passive bonuses instead of only being used to scale with specific weapons. For instance, putting points in dexterity could increase attack speed, while investing in intelligence could boost focus gain. These passive bonuses could be balanced as required, giving players more flexibility in building their characters. It would also incentivize them to put points in the other stats so they are not restricted to their weapons’ scaling.

Gear Comparison

  • It would be very useful if players could easily compare the advantages and disadvantages of the items they have equipped with those they have in their inventory or on the ground. A feature that shows a side-by-side comparison of the bonuses provided by each item would be beneficial. This feature would highlight which item has a higher stat or lacks certain bonuses, making it immediately obvious which is best suited to their play style.

Enchanting and Infusing Menu

  • It would be helpful to have a menu displaying potential bonuses when enchanting or infusing weapons and armor. It should also show the final statistics of the item after the enchantment or infusion is successful right away, so players don’t have to exit and look in their inventory to see the results. Additionally, adding a magical animation or sound effect could provide a more satisfying experience, almost like gambling, as they are never certain about what they will get.

Scenic Backgrounds Beyond Indoor Walls

  • Indoor areas such as the Inn and Rookery Lodging seem isolated due to the lack of backgrounds beyond their walls, making it appear as if they are floating in a black void. While it may not be feasible to create a full 3D world beyond these walls without causing issues for most PCs, perhaps simplified or blurred 2D scenic backgrounds could be added to reduce the rendering load and provide a more immersive experience, making these areas feel more integrated into the game world.

Seamless Area Transitions Instead of Loading Screen

  • I understand that loading time and rendering are important aspects of the game. However, it would be amazing if the transition between these different areas was seamless. Instead of using a loading screen, the camera could follow the characters as they exit indoor areas, panning to the outside world as the previously blurred background comes into full focus. Instead of a loading screen, a long placeholder animation of opening the door could be used. Alternatively, when players use Cerim Whispers to fast-travel, it would be awesome if the blue energy envelops them before the screen goes white. They manifest in the new area as everything slowly comes into view. This would make the world feel more interconnected and alive rather than a series of isolated areas separated by loading screens.

Preview on Blueprints/Recipes

  • It would be helpful to have a preview of the food, weapon, or armor on blueprints/recipes so that players can decide on which one to purchase. Currently, all recipes/blueprints only have the name of the item attached to them, making it impossible for players to know what they would be able to craft upon purchase.

Lock Furniture Purchases from Merchants Until Housing is Available

  • Players can’t use the furniture they buy until they unlock housing. To improve the player experience and maintain a sense of natural progression, I recommend that furniture purchases be locked until players can access housing. This change will ensure players do not waste their resources on items they cannot use immediately, taking up unnecessary space.

Thank you for all your hard work, Moon Studios. This game is absolutely incredible. Everything from the art direction, animation, and combat has so much love and care poured into it. I couldn’t be more excited to see where this journey takes us.

Lol. I had bought a crafting table when I first got to sanctuary assuming you could drop it in the town square or whatever, had to google it to find out they can only be used much later when you buy a house xD

There’s a loading screen?

Whenever you enter new areas, such as going into your rookery, you are given a black screen until it’s fully loaded
