Fallen Embers is killing the fun

To me it’s not a Fallen Embers issue, it’s a not interesting enough Enchantments issue. The Fallen Embers feel less rewarding because the reward is to gamble on a piece of something to make something else work better. Since the design of enchantment is based around stacking some bonuses until you reach a kind of critical point to have a “build” that “works”. In other words Fallen Embers are boring because most of the enchantments are also boring. The game doesn’t allow for very deep build-crafting and the majority of builds are pretty obvious to what your archetype is which causes the gameplay to revolve around using fallen embers to gamble for those specific enchantments. It’s not fun, in fact it’s one of the worst aspects of the game.
It’s kinda crazy to me that no ARPG right now seems to nail the gear/loot aspect of the genre. Last Epoch does a decent job though.
Anyway, I think the developers are aware at least I hope so that enchantments and attributes build system has got to go.
We just have to wait and let them cook. Overall I really hope we get a lot better Enchantments system and attribute system because it’s some of the most lame parts of the game. The visuals and exploration and to some extent the combat are what is keeping the player base, I don’t think ive seen a single person comment how exciting they think the enchantments are.
