Since level cap is 30 half my points are wasted on Equip Load. It’s very punishing for people who want to play heavy armor especially early on. I don’t see the point in having it. Souls games have it much better done where endurance increases your equip load so you are not losing on stamina. If I need more stamina here I need to sacrifice dmg or hp since my equip load is crazy big with a two hander what makes me dump points there every two levels. And if I choose not to take more stamina/endurance then I can swing once or twice ,three times if I don’t roll witch is very rare when playing solo.
Theres a difference between them.
Equipload/carry weight is how many kilos you can lift (the total amount of weight you can carry)
Endurance/stamina is how many times you can lift those kilos (how many actions you can perform)
Im only here to say that theres a difference between equipload and stamina. Why Skyrim and Dark Souls 1 chose to do it was mostly to simplify players choices and in the end it narrows the players choice. Many players didnt think equipload was essential but now they do. Now you will have more complex planning for the time being atleast.![]()
FYI the whole stat system is getting revamped, so I suggest to wait for that update to see if the problem still persists
I also liked how Elden Ring implemented it.
Poor design more likely especially when max lvl is 30,what I’m saying make one stat as Endurance and no one will complain . And it’s not only skyrim and DS1 I’m pretty sure all of Dark Souls and Elden RIng use the same system. It needs rebalancing at the least because it is not satisfactory at all rn. Good thing is I saw in the comments below it will be revamped so I hope for a better system or at least a balance that wont cost me 40 damned points just to be fully plated .
That is good to know since my highest stat rn is equip load at 40 lmao and close behind is strength 38 ..
Oh my bad i thought you knew that already xD
I think you will have to check which dark souls that didnt use the same system but nevertheless they were still using combined stats.
