Enchanting and infusing are anti-fun, and stat requirements are too

Nothing is worse than hunting for that one weapon drop in the crucible for your build and heading back into town with it, terrified that RNG is going to RUIN the gear piece. Enchanting should feel like something positive is going to happen, not a coin flip.

Good example, I’m running a str/int build, have the greatsword drop and I’m very excited, take it to Eleanor to enchant and it rolls reduce focus by 28%. Alright, well that piece is now UNUSBALE. Like Diablo, the fix is easy, I can re-enchant pieces of gear for a progressively increasing amount of coin.

But, I want to keep playing and try staves. I upgrade a stave from tier 1 all the way to tier 3, and place my ONE singular topaz’s chip into and it ROLLS only 1% focus return on damage. WHAT!?!? that’s massive for a focus build, 2% would’ve been okay. I have to roll RNG on my gems too?! I invested so many resources upgrading it to have it turn out to be very mediocre. I don’t know if gems are also level locked but I’ve NEVER even seen a blood stone, I’ve seen three topaz’s my whole 24 hours of game time, and meanwhile I have 17 quarts?). So again I’m fighting the RNG of the weapon drop (or investing tons of resources into a weapon I like) and then fighting it AGAIN when I slot the gem? The system should really change to Diablo’s style of progressively better gems as levels increase, OR for coin let me pop that bad boy out of there and try again?

Not only are we playing RNG slots to get the weapon, but the RNG rolling for the stats? its just not fun, its not right, and it made me feel like my 3 hour gaming session (of which I get are limited) was absolutely wasted and for nothing.

Lastly, if any weapon can be upgraded from 1 all the way to the highest tier, why on EARTH are stat requirements so high for some weapons? Why do I need 128str and 128int to wield a weapon? What makes it BETTER for having such high stat requirements? If anything, tiered weapons should just be level locked, otherwise you’re just unlocking fashion and that feels boring.
