So basically, I know that each of the individual weapon types vary in like moveset, hidden attack speed, and possibly how much damage they can do, but is that it? Part of me was wondering if there was something else that distinguishes them apart.
I know there are certain runes that can only go in certain weapon types, but at the same time when you go through the list of runes, each one has a variant move of another that exists in another weapon type. Like there is a plague attack, ice attack, fire attack, spinning attacks, charging attacks, etc. for each weapon type.
It also got me thinking because sometimes when Im enchanting a couple copies of weapons, Ill notice that some of them tend to get the same effect phrase more on that weapon than others. Like, I noticed that when I enchanted 3 Short Bows in a row, all 3 were Blue, and all 3 were “decrease this items weight by x”. That could be a coincidence and just pure RNG luck that I managed to get that same effect on all 3, but it made me wonder if each invidiual unique weapon gets potentially is geared more towards having a specific effect when enchanted.
While on the subject of weapons possibly having unique effects that are more inclined to getting when enchanted, and on the subject of Easter eggs. After I started thinking this, when I got the Wood Sword I couldnt help but wonder…because Ive only gotten 1 in this whole game, and I dont remember when it dropped, but its also unique in that its the only weapon Ive ever gotten, or come across since that is just wood…and made me think…is this a reference to Ninja Gaiden? In Ninja Gaiden, the wooden sword is a training weapon that is incredibly weak, but when you constantly use and upgrade it, it ironically becomes one of the most powerful weapons in the game…Im starting to wonder if this could also be the case, but Im not willing to dump my resources in this since those are pretty precious in the current state of the game, especially to hit the final tier, and I dont want to risk breaking it with enchanting.
