The players of this community are really working hard to improve this game, but the devs need to change their mindset. We are not player, we are ALSO players but ALSO beta testers and you need to make our work easier.
It completely offsetting for you to make the upgrading materials unobtainable because doing that will make our job of trying different weapons harder. And this mind set should apply to everything. We are here to try the game and help you. Create the conditions for us to help you.
Final thought… you really need to work on the performance of this game. Its not acceptalble that a last gen pc with a RTX 3060 cannot reach a bare minimum of 60 fps considering i am now playing at an average of 20 which makes the game almost unplayable.
And even if i commend you for your hard work in releasing hotfixes, every time instead of improving the performance it has gone down. At least at first release i could play at 50 fps, which was not great but was decent. I played games with 3d grafics at 90 fps and my pc cant handle this game? come on you can do better. Hope next hotfix will really improve the problem. I am thinking of waiting for some decent performance improvements because this is ruinng my play experience.
I just like to ask what is your setup? If you are experiencing performance issues please list them for visibility. Also is this your first experience with this genre? The devs are doing a great job and this type of game is meant to farm over and over again. If you like the souls-like genre this games for you, it’s not meant to be easy. I’m saying this to be mean, but you farm to get the materials needed if that means you roll more toons then so be it. I’m on my 4th toon and this game is great, if you are on your first toon make another you can jump your toons from realm to realm, I’m sure you know that.
This game they are making will not hand you anything or make it easy to obtain anything you have to work for it with a lot of upset that comes with it.
You can feel upset, you can hate some mechanic, some glitchs, bugs but you remain just a player who has accepted to pay less a game in early access.
The recent quick updates and first patch have come very very quickly maybe too quickly in fact. Their early work is very awesome in comparison with other companies, other games which are not inearly access but officially released and very bugged (Bethesda etc)
Devs are doing what they can and what they want.
We are betatesting the game in a way but we are not betatester. We don’t have a contract with the team. A betatester is payed for this job, he has tools, debug interface and the ability to hack the game to quickly obtain a certain buggy situation.
Here, a part from using WeMod, Fling or CheatHappen trainer (with a premium subscription), you won’t be able to quickly do what you want. Because we pay to play the game and to give feedback not to do a tedious and very repetitive job with a salary. A betatester doesn’t play a game as us, he repetitively do the same actions, it’s not fun at all, he is not here to appreciate the whole thing…
It’s also what they are searching here : feedback from different kind of gamers, hardcore, casual, with a lot of different devices…
The devs have stated the original mat/vendor system was having the wrong impact on how they want players to interact with the crafting/refining systems in the game. So you are testing the current system because that is exactly what they want you to use.
On a side note, even though some mats are now much more difficult to get the fact remains you can still get them (I got about 9 silver and 14 birch yesterday) and whenever 1.0 is released this should be a much healthier system where progression is actually a thing and not just a money thing.
