Just wanted to give a quick suggestion regarding coop features. Can we please be able to toggle friendly fire and be able to have independent loot drops and/or share loot drops? The potential is there for this gamemode, but the lack of these features make it unplayable personally.
I don’t play the multiplayer but having enough experience in the game as to know how much loot drops in it, I’d say that sharing the loot isn’t a serious problem. Especially when you can jump in solo even when the host isn’t on. It’s not like the loot doesn’t respawn. Having it like this incentivizes teamwork and conversation on who gets what when. Seems to work as intended.
Both friendly fire and shared loot are meant so that you need to actually think and communicate. We are running 4 man war simulator and have no problem whatsoever. Yeah it can turn hectic and yeah sometimes weird shit happens but that just adds into the fun.
- Reviving should be a thing. Right now the option is to either kill yourself to end the run so you can start again together, or wait (which can take a long time, depending on how far you got). Or, the dead players could join back in the next level if the remaining player survives.
- Falling off ledges instantly ending your run is too punishing (Do the revive echoes even do anything if you fall off?). Or to phrase it differently, the vast majority of deaths shouldn’t come from falling off and dying instantly.
- Echoes should re-roll every level with the players having the ability to lock echoes they want to keep in the selection. Sometimes you have bad luck and end up with a bad selection and have to spend all your points just to re-roll.
- Multiple players should be able to simultaneously buy/sell/repair etc. from the Vendor instead of waiting around.
Imagine logging on into your friend’s realm, seeing your friend’s beautifully crafted base, and thinking: ‘It would be a shame if someone raided this.’ . A settlement system would make this not only possible, but encouraged. Declare war. Steal their crops. Leave a note.
Also yes, having kids running around in your friend’s base and yours is BAD, objectively terrible game design and I really need it immediately.
