Coop beta feedback

Friendly fire, give an option to turn off/on. It’s very annoying, being interrupted by friendly fire and taking damage. This is gamebreaking for me. I was melee and my friend using a bow blasting ice all over the place making it hard to see stuff. I dunno if there was some special stuff on his bow, but an option to turn off or dim other players effects would be great.

It doesn’t feel like a coop game when research is not shared. Same with gold and challenge/bounty rewards. I know its properly because of how the game is build with “realms” and pop in and out thing.

And option to zoom out more is very welcome, its zoomed in alot, properly because its made for consoles too.

They said in testing turning it off completely trivialized everything because then the players just spam everything with zero risk.

I could see that.

You may want to let your friend know. Taking that off doesn’t reduce their damage really, and they can socket in an Ice gem and then do direct attacks instead of spamming AE explosions everywhere.

Bows, on their own, do NOT do AE damage. Some rune abilities will. But since you say he was doing AE Ice explosions that means he was using an ice quiver in his off hand. As I mentioned, if he takes that off, he would be doing direct damage and the AE wouldn’t be blowing you up.

Your specific character is learning the thing, not the world. World progress, such as buildings IS shared.

I didn’t play with people, but that would be very strange if the daily / weekly things weren’t shared. Either by each player being able to take them or just being duplicated by those who participated.

I do know chest and drops aren’t, which I’ve thought is an odd choice. People should definitely be getting their own copies or drops with chests and such.

Completely split loot will become a compounded issues with more players in the session. I expect this would be something they’d probably change.

I think that’s been suggested, but I don’t know that’s something they will do since the world effectively is designed with a fixed camera position.

Note that it does zoom in and out if you are fighting someone and they get further away from you.

The game need FF as a way to force people to organize, use tactics, learn how to cooperate.

It will not go away. It will stay. And that is fine, because the game is great this way.

If you can’t play the game because there is this evil FF, well, it is a skill issue. Mostly. But not of a single person, but of the group as a whole. You just fail to play cooperatively and everyone wants to be rambo, headbashing the keyboard.

We played with a group of 1 archer, 1 mage and 2 melee. We barely felt the FF. Ofc hits happens, but it is very negligible, and we played straight from start on the max difficulty.
