Multiplayer has a few issues that diminish the experience – mainly loot, and potential to miss story.
Loot
- should have the option to be duplicated (some people are just loot hoarders, and having to coordinate sharing or hurrying towards chests is not everyone’s idea of fun)
- especially un-fun after a boss battle, even in a fair party only one person gets to enjoy picking up the reward
- challenges/bounties rewards only the person turning them in
- even if you enjoy this kind of thing, sharing is cumbersome:
- you have to constantly talk about (and try to describe) which new items you got, no way to see each other’s inventory
- after boss battles only one person at a time can see the contents of the rewards, everyone else has to wait until they read/decide
- can’t drop items, only destroy
- there is no convenient way to see/share items at a glance, you have to do it 1/1, only close to the other person – a share screen where everyone can just drop items for others to choose might be simpler
Story
- it’s possible to miss cutscenes
- easy to miss dialogues
- people can go in/out of areas separately
- boss battles can be started accidentally when the other players are not nearby (if you don’t specifically know a boss is in that area)
- in general, a single player can unintentionally progress the world/story, meaning others miss parts of the experience in a co-op playthrough
Combat
- friendly-fire should be a toggle-able option (moon seems to already implicitly acknowledge this, since range lightning attacks don’t damage allies)
- especially bad when one person has a greatsword in a cramped space
- aggro inconsistent – enemy walks slowly towards range player shooting constantly, only to immediately turn 180° and start jumping and attacking wildly when a melee character approaches
- hard to get focus with slow hitting weapons against high-damage enemies
General
- direction indicator disappears when other players are further away, and it’s not always easy to find them on the map (especially in cities)
- considering how easy it is to accidentally throw yourself off a cliff – would be nice to have a way to revive a fallen ally without them having to respawn at an echo (also for drowning)
- when dying in the crucible in later waves, you can’t revive, re-jpin, or spectate – so basically are thrown out and have to wait outside until the other player finishes or dies
- cannot speak to the same vendor at the same time
- when two people are in separate dialogues, sometimes progressing one convesation glitches the other person’s dialogue
- somewhat inconsistent connectivity – sometimes one player can’t connect, other times after connecting game is frozen on a blurred-out screen and nothing happens

Out of all, main plea would be to please have an option for separate loot – should be pretty straightforward to implement, and would let players opt for their preferred playstyle (especially given that moon started out with this implementation to begin with).
In general, thank you for an already amazing looking game, it’s shapiing up to be one of the greats – looking forward to the full release!
