Hello,
I died at caretaker boss and then I alt+f4’d because I was done. Next time I logged in, the caretaker spawns alone without his hog and the game crashes when he gets to 75% HP. It also crashes after he attacks me 3 times so I cannot die to him. Plz help me, I am softlocked by this boss and cannot continue the game!

Also, I tried verifying integrity of game files on steam and it did nothing.
Im stuck in my save. Killed Tusk and closed game mid fight. Reload the game. Tusk no longer loads after I closed the game. Boss starts fight without tusk even after dying. Game crashes after 30 seconds. Anyway to roll back?

After most recent patch (10-Apr-2026) repeatedly CTD when fighting Caretaker, after defeating Tusk. From the log file:
2026-04-11T13:10:57.869|E|11428||Couldn’t find the boss entity of type MutatedBoarBoss
2026-04-11T13:10:57.869|E|11428||Failed to initialize agents, check input array.
2026-04-11T13:10:57.870|E|20092||Unstable environment, too many exceptions, terminating build.
The entity/initialize occurs repeatedly, and even continues a bit after the ‘terminating build’ error.
World is stuck at the Tusk-dead phase and will not reset the encounter. A comment in ‘Caretaker Disconnects’ thread shows another user in the same boat; they said after this starts, even a new/different realm doesn’t provide a workaround.

And if I understand correctly, Tusk is dead and the fight won’t reset whatever you do? Alden is just walking in the arena?

I was fighting the Caretaker boss, I have died many times.
After I had killed Tusk then I was fighting only the caretaker in his 2nd phase.
After dying I got frustrated and alt + f4 from the game.
When I tried to fight the boss again Tusk was not there and the fight with the Caretaker would crash after 20 seconds approximately.
I tried verifying the game files or loading from last Whisper but none worked.
Currently I am afraid I cannot continue with the story and it would be too much of a trouble to start a new game, because I spent quite some time upgrade the city and also experimenting with weapons etc.
PS . I play Solo and not Co-OP.

I am re-escalating this Savvas, thank you for coming here and reporting this.
I can only promise this will be looked at by Moon, currently they are heading for 1.0 so I don’t expect a problem like this will be fixed soon. Sorry for the unfortunate circumstances.

I understand that this could probably not be a priority, but maybe it should be consider in the backlog as a bug to be fixed maybe even in the main release.
