Constant disconnects while fightin the Caretaker (and before?)

I am having constant disconnects when fighting the Caretaker and his Boar.
After 10-100 tries i managed to get the boar down but the game DCd after so i respawned with only the Caretaker.. for awhile.
I can probably get 10-20 seconds in the fight until animations lock and i finally am kicked straight back to main menu.

Loading in takes me either to the entrance of the arena or to the Whisper a bit further back.
Same with most weapons ive tried and I’ve also changed out the uplink (mobile and Optical).

I have experienced similar issues up until the bossfight, with the character seemingly locked towards an invisible enemy, unable to attack or do anything.
Mobs still keep attacking me though.

Hi kwickell,

I assume you are playing solo?

  • Are you using mods?
  • Would it be possible for you test out if someone else also gets disconnects? Could you team up with someone to test that out? If you are not able to, please ping me in the discord server! (Silas Inservio Pax)
  • Where are you playing from?

Sorry, yes Solo.

  • No mods
  • I’ll see what i can do but it might be hard to get someone online for a week or so.
  • Playing from Stockholm, Sweden. (No idea which server)

I’ve confirmed with Kwickell that this happens also for every other person in the Realm, within the fight.

The next step will be to let other players do the fight and see if that makes it possible to progress, without a hard disconnect to main menu.

The Player and Player-prev where in the initial archive as well.
Adding a Zip as well as Gdrive might now work well with the other compression used.

I just downloaded them and viewed them.
Both the old and the new file. Not sure if google does something in the viewer since they are .log.

Has there been any fixes to this?
I came from this thread ( Constant disconnects while fightin the Caretaker (and before?) - #12 by Silas-Inservio-Pax ) and it was merged with this one.

I did have a similar issues as the video displays but my major issue from the other thread was that the game crashed constantly in the Caretaker bossfight.

Held on for a few seconds and then straight to desktop.
This issue has persisted after the latest update and still happens on the Stable branch.
Not sure what I’m supposed to do to get around it as im soft locked by this issue and cannot progress.
Is the issue with the character or with the realm? Will replacing either of them solve the issue and let me progress into endgame?

Thanks for letting me know you are still experiencing this. I will re-escalate this issue into the proper channels.

I am right there with you in hoping Moon can figure this out! In the meantime it might be worth it to partner up with someone in their Realm, but I understand that is maybe not what you want nor is it an official patch for this problem. I hope you can bear with us a little longer!

No problem at all.
Going to reroll both char and realm later tonight to see if i can get another char up to that point. :+1:

Can confirm that making another character makes zero difference.
Still the exact same crash so i guess the Realm is blocked as there is no way to go past that point.

Anything you guys can do, or should i just abandon the realm?

I am going to push this one last time kwickell, though it might be better to start with a new Realm already. I’m sorry I can’t do more for you!

Im almost back at the bossfight again.
I’ll check back in when i get there to confirm that it is in fact the realm and not just me being extremely unlucky.
