I agree that our problem is also a performance issue but if this topic is a hub for performance issues and not just statters it should be renamed.
Something like: “Severe performance issues in endgame realms”
I checked, and I noticed that every world where I finished the story has this problem and the others don’t.
I also tried to see if purifying the world with the Seneschal would change anything.
The lag has gotten way worse xD (maybe it’s a coincidence, but the timing was perfect).
So I would say that it seems that the source of these performance problems is the same, only that for me and for Junn it manifested itself with the “slow motion” lag while for others it manifested itself with the statters and crashes, it has something to do with the current “post story” of the game but not with the plague, even in the crucible is there so I don’t think that the fact that the map is complete has anything to do with it.
No this topic is for performance issues with 1 Realm, but not other’s. It seems the one red line throughout a lot of performance related topics hence we created this [Combined]
How these issues manifest as you so elegantly put is less important.
*I created a new Realm and beat campaign then when I went to my old lagging Realm to start to transfer items I noticed it had been fixed, no more lag.
I would make a new Realm and check lag Realm to see if that helps, unsure if beating the campaign did it or if this was all a coincidence.
OLD REPORT BELOW
My issue started when I killed a corruption zone boss with max modifiers as the loot flooded into my inventory.
since then the Realm does lag every few seconds. The lagged world persists on my home computer (high end PC) and work computer using NVIDIA geforce now.
Below are two videos the first is the exact point when the problem started, the 2nd is just showcasing me lagging on my main world and not my alt world.
I will have to wait to tonight when I’m home to send logs.
I’ve edited your post directly just to clear up that you meant Realm (with the current beta it could be understood as if you meant you played Multiplayer).
I suspect it did not have to do much with finishing the campaign, but maybe the amount of time you spend in your new Realm? But thats just speculation from my side.
Please report if the old issues arise again!
Enjoy the hunt once again, Cerim.

Edit: if you could please add your Datastore to your Google Drive link, that would be perfect!
There is a frame drop at exactly every 15 seconds once you load into realm, easily detected in Steam performance monitor but also detectable by just playing the game. Its very annoying especially in combat.
What is game doing in the background every 15 seconds that’s causing this ?
i have this stutter problem that this user described in this thread ( [Combined] Stuttering every 10 sec on one realm ) , just he could solve it somehow. the solutions he gave dont work for me or arent even an option, so basically my main realm is little bit unplayable, it destroys the flow of the game. i can still just take the char and play on another but most of my gear and resources are on this one since this is the one i play the longest and its just not a desired solution for me sorry.
but the worse problem is that the game keeps crashing lately.
given i havent played in a couple weeks, this seems to be connected to an update maybe, cause i didnt have either of those problems before. Sure my game crashed maybe once in 400hrs of gameplay, but that was probably not a game problem or at least its negligible.
so when i played the last 2 days again, just finishing another char and my game crashed at least 5-10 times since then. no message or anything, its just gone instantly.
most of these crashes happened in lowleand meadows, before i finished campaign and also after, but it has not been plagued yet, so shouldnt have anything to do with this.
also it wasnt always in that area, but most of the times i remembered were there cause its the most annoying area to crash in imo.
for example it crashed like twice in the last 10min, i go in there for a weekly/daily, halfway there i crash, next time i make it to the quest area, game crashes. def done for today.
ill try it a bit more on my other chars or if this is also realm related, but everytime the game crashes my motivation to start it up again goes near zero, so ill gather the reports and submit these files in the next days.
hey, not yet, im still trying some things out, cause sometimes i have the stutters on one realm, sometimes i actually dont, and sometimes the realm even changes between sessions. im trying to check if anythings wrong with my setup or windows. im thinking about doing a fresh win install and then check if anythings different if i cant find anything else before.
i will keep the files anyway and will upload when i have a better picture.
thx for checking in =)
PS: as for lowleand meadows, i havent entered it since then and i had no crashs since then, so this is probably the same problem others also had with crashing in this area.
I’ve been having this problem for a while now, every 5-10 second the game stutters, I have a 4080 super, Ryzen 7 9800x3d, and 32 gigs of ram, the game is also installed in the SSD. I don’t know what the issue is.
Update: I tried to problem-solve it with ChatGPT, uploaded the logs, screenshots, videos, etc. to it. Here’s what I’ve tested so far:
-Multiple graphics settings (low → high)
-FPS caps, VSync on/off, G-SYNC
-DLSS on/off, fixed render scale
-Shader cache clear, full reinstall
-Forcing -dx12 on Steam (game still launches in DX11)
-Long and short play sessions
None of these resolves the stutter.
Findings from logs according to ChatGPT:
Repeated asset unloading during gameplay (Unloading unused Assets) causing 200–400 ms stalls
Warnings about JobTempAlloc memory leaks, which impact performance over time
Stutters align exactly with asset unloading/streaming and occur during movement and combat
Behavior pattern:
Standing still = smooth
Moving / fighting = periodic hitching
FPS does not drop; frametime spikes instead
Conclusion:
This appears to be an engine-side issue related to asset streaming, garbage collection, and DX11 threading limitations rather than a hardware or configuration problem. The issue is especially noticeable on high-refresh-rate systems with low baseline frametimes.
