[Combined] Label items Favorite/Junk + buy back option

+1
I just minimized the game to post this suggestion. Thankfully I checked the forum first and saw that I am not the only one who wants this change. I am not in the endgame yet, but I have already acquired the Endless Climbing Ring. I am not going to wear it all the time and I also really do not want to lose it by accident.

As a side note, I do not think this ring is a good solution. It is obvious that most players will use it only when needed, and it is not difficult to obtain. It might be better to simply give this ability to endgame characters without all the hassle, or to remove this feature entirely.

Its just a placeholder ring for beginners

You are not expected to make use of it for very long, it has no purpose for battle which is what you want to build your character for and soon you will have enough stamina that climbing will never be an issue anymore.

I don’t recommend to keep it or switch to it constantly when you’re going to climb, don’t make the game harder for yourself!

I carry some valuable gear with me sometimes, for various reasons such as having just picked it up, items for max damage vs max survivability vs max experience gain, different quivers, etc.

However, as I pick up drops, it becomes difficult to manage, partially because the sorting is jank. This results in:

  • time wasted looking through gear 100 times per session
  • accidentally selling gear I wanted to keep

What I’d like to see in the game:

  • ability to turn “sort” off, and just have a static inventory like we do in every ARPG
  • when you put on a new piece of gear (from your inventory), the old gear (that you had in that slot) goes into the inventory slot the new gear was previously in. This way, your inventory isn’t jumping around.
  • Ability to mark items as “do not sell”
  • Ability to buy back items from merchants, ideally at a reasonable cost. Eg sold price +15%

Thanks in advance for your consideration

Buy back and item sell protection/lock feature. Also mentioned here:

Small QoL suggestion from a day-one Early Access player (~60h played):

It would be great to have a way to mark items in the inventory (junk / for sale icon or tag).
After long, loot-heavy sessions, especially in co-op, it’s easy to forget what was meant to be sold later.

Simple change, big inventory QoL improvement.
Thanks!

I would like to suggest a lock button on your character’s gear. There are some many times I accidentally loot, try to look at gear. Then I don’t realize I switched it.

Would be nice if we could favorite items we find on our travels. Basically you would be able to press a button to lock it in your inventory, preventing you from accidentally selling or discarding the item and pinning it to the top of your inventory.

hello love this game but our party need lock item in inventory for preservation for build .It happened more than once that we sold an item that we needed to change into a build. THX

Sometimes we find that valuable item that we spend hours the way we want, so that we do not run the risk of destroying or selling the item without wanting to add the option of locking the item in the inventory so that it cannot be destroyed or sold.

Hi, quick suggestion,

Tonight after a few farming sessions i went back to Sacrament to sell some loot. Trying to sell the top right item from my inventory, my controller went right one more time than anticipated, and as I was on autopilot mode, just selling stuff, I pressed A two times expecting to sell a random quiver, boom. My awesome exalted t16 bow is sold now. No buyback available, only tears. :frowning:

While i agree that it’s my fault, i should have went slower and should have been more careful, i must say that while it happened, it should not have been able to: I don’t see a single real world use case for being able to sell equiped items directly to vendors. IMO, you should only be able to sell items in your inventory, and if you want to sell something that you have equiped, you go ahead and unequip it before selling it to a NPC.

When you have an item equipped, it usually means that you like it / are using it. Having the ability to directly sell equipped items serves zero purpose, but allows for such sad scenarios to happen, and it should not. I think it would be good idea for the UI to only show your inventory, or to disable to sale of equipped items.

Game is still awesome btw, thanks Moon Studios for it

Today I accidentally sold my main weapon, which I spent over 70 hours grinding for. I hope that in the future there will be a system in place to prevent this kind of mistake from happening to other players like it did to me.

+1, nothing more to add

Absolutely love the game!!! My one suggestion from only logging 23 hours since I got the game 2/9. With so much loot to add a “mark as junk” or “favorite” tag on weapons in the inventory so we don’t sell, drop, give to a friend by accident.

A favorite would be amazing =] great QoL idea! So an item cannot get sold/stored/scrapped, etc

I love the idea of marking items with “Favorite”.
If you also add something like “mark as junk” then people would probably want the option to sell all items marked as ”junk”.

Here comes the issues with junk: If you can mark as junk then that might create a problem where someone mark an item by mistake as “junk” but meant it to get marked as “Favorite” this means that they would have a possibilty of accidentally selling that item.

But its all a good suggestion!

I would love this idea. I finally found an item I want, but it puts me over my roll speed. It would be nice to “lock” or “favorite” an item so I do not sell it on accident.

I totally agree. ‘Mark as Favorite’ is more than enough and avoids any confusion. There’s no need for ‘Mark as Junk’.

I would love a possibility to mark an Item as a favourite to prevent accidental selling or altering of the item.
