I reinstalled the game today before the patch dropped after uninstalling it earlier this month, used locally backed up save files and I could load in just fine. Now, after the patch dropped, my character and realm are both unavailable, despite the save file being in the folder. Deleting them just makes them reappear as now Steam Cloud backup has them too.
I am inquiring about this right now artickal, thank you for bringing attention to this matter!

I managed to fix the issue by taking my old backed up files and changing the value for the account ID. Checking player.log I noticed that by changing the account id in account, realm and character .bat files, the OfflineSaveDataAPI triggered, migrating my save files to the new format.

My character and Realms have disappeared. They were there when I was trying to log in. Next thing I know is the game crashed and my Realms are all gone. I have just about everything upgraded in town and so many hours in game. All that progression is lost.
