Bugs I've run into during the experimental branch

Hi,

Really loving the game as a new player. Here’s some bugs I’ve run into during the beta [experimental branch].

  • Server Lag is very bad (especially the drifting, where movement keeps continuing off cliffs regularly, even though you’re trying to walk opposite direction). Exacerbated by multiplayer, happening constantly, especially bad when the other player is moving zones / otherwise loading. THIS IS IMPORTANT TO FIX.
  • Menus don’t obey changed movement controls (I changed movement arrows to RDFG, menus are still WASD, very confusing to use)
    • All the menu buttons would be ideally separately rebindable
  • Mouse stops tracking item selection properly in menus over extended gameplay (highlighted item lags behind, ends up picking random items by accident). Left click also stops being able to select items anymore.
  • Personal house teleporter kicks you to main menu when used. Can still be teleported to, just not from. Pressing interact button on the waystone puts you in main menu. You also lose everything you did in the house on that visit (items are returned to inventory etc).
  • Housing item Cook’s Stove is untextured (model shows as white)
  • Body Armour with Max Health increased by 7% of Max Focus enchantment with Max Health reduced by x% curse doesn’t work:
    You end up with higher max health, but you can’t heal into it and your health is capped e.g. at 249, while you have 300 max health, almost like there’s a portion reserved.
  • Not sure if intended but you can “parkour” up things very easily.
    • e.g. I did the lowlands mill area backwards because I parkoured up from the “end”, which made the quest progression work weird (characters appearing in two places at once)
    • Its fun to do, so maybe don’t nerf it completely, but might want to add walls to any place you don’t want players getting in from
  • Fishing rods seem to lose durability by a huge amount (like lose -6 durability for every fishing attempt, vs woodcutter loses -1 for a tree)
  • Greatclub Giants with Ice element attack without any animation, making them very tough to fight. They just stand there and suddenly you’re half dead and frozen. It seems to be the attack where they repeatedly slam with their club, but hard to say without animation.

Also, your normal bug reporting forum doesn’t accept bug reports, it keeps claiming there’s stuff missing from the post.

Really appreciate the work you’re doing, here’s to hoping the game gets even better. I think you have something great on your hands here!
