Collection of bugs from a co-op playthrough

I was reporting these in the Discord but was told multiple times to post here, so here’s a list of bugs I encountered. Will preface with the comment that we both thoroughly enjoyed the game and found it quite beautiful.

Both players are North America, same computer specs.

Server connection issues, no reliable reproduction:

  • When we started the game (first day of beta), we had almost no issues with desync/lag
  • Got worse over time, eventually became nearly unplayable
  • Players could not walk steadily. Constant sliding or stopping unexpectedly. This seemed to get worse with more equipment weight.
  • Enemies would frequently do damage to player with no animations
  • Servers would boot one player at least once every 30 minutes
  • Attacking could cause the player to get stuck in a loop of repeating the first few frames of their attack animation in rapid succession (would not hurt enemies
  • Parry timing did not seem to be impacted by any of these issues, which is excellent

General issues:

  • “The Breach” cutscene will not play for either player, both as part of the story or part of the compendium. Attempting to view it puts the player in the “Brood” boosfight zone with a few NPCs loaded in, but the battering ram is not visible. Both players have tried multiple times over multiple days to view this, same result every time
  • On rare occasions, chests would spawn slightly above the ground and players are unable to interact with it. Do not know how to reproduce.
  • Using the home whisper (we only have the town square house) to try to teleport from the home causes the game to boot you to the main menu (you can teleport TO the home just fine). Reproduce by using the home whisper stone from within the town square home.
  • Occasionally, pestilence bosses will die but their hitbox will not disappear and the player character cannot pick up the items. Do not know how to reproduce.
  • You can push the crucible boss off the ledge, instantly killing both phases (may be intentional). Reproduce by pushing off ledge.
  • When quests get completed, the move to the “completed” section but are not greyed out until you reload the game again. Reproduce by completing a quest.
  • The digging minigame would sometimes reset itself instantly after a button press, resulting in two failures on one button press. Do not know how to reproduce.
  • The enchantress in town will sometimes have a quest icon above her head, but no quest. This only happens to one player at a time. Do not know how to reproduce.
  • Sewer boss fight is not visible to one of the players during phase 1. Phase 2 he is visible to both players. Reproduce by heading into the sewer boss fight with both players.
  • Sometimes, bosses will not recover their health if the arena is emptied. Reproduce relatively reliably by a player dying and manually reviving at a whisper, and then the other player dies and manually respawns at a whisper. The second player should attempt to revive near to or after the first player revives.

Not at my gaming computer now so I can’t get the logs, but I will later if you ask.

What did you use to push him off? Just shoulder barge or any runes in particular?

ps: you can hold of on the logs for now, I’ll see if Steve wants them or he’ll come in here himself to ask for it.

To push him off I was using fist weapons (the ones that look like big hands and are faith-only). I had echoes for chance to do lightning damage on hit and that was causing many lightning explosions to happen as I hit him with the combo for the weapon. I guess these explosions can push the boss around.
