The bounty says to Kill the Risen scoundrels at the Shallows

I’ve killed everything in the Shallows (crabs included) and in the surrounding areas of the Shallows. There are no distinctive markings on the map to indicate what areas I’m in but everything has been killed but the quest is still not completing. I’m about to quit the bounty cause I think there’s just no way this is going to get completed.

Suggestions for the Devs.

  • Lets give the map some sort of indication of areas, an overlay? borders perhaps??
  • On Bounties such as this where we have to eliminate a number of baddies, can we have some sort of count down in the quest journal as to how many more kills we have remaining in order to complete the task at hand?

I’ve been running around the whole area and can’t find anything else to kill, so I’m left with the thought that I’ve encountered pesky little bug.

This quest has 3 Risen next to the tower on the far left. If they’re not there, it’s a bug. I haven’t had that happen with that particular bounty, but I did have it with others.

If it helps: the Risen Scoundrels are always south of the Whisper on the beach, in the shadow of its tower at the buried treasure spot. Just need to kill the three Risen guys; rapier, sword and bomber.

If they aren’t spawning you may have to leave the area so the game can properly spawn them. It can happen sometimes that it doesn’t properly apply the bounty area layer, so going to Sacrament and then running there usually works.

Thank you, I’ve only encounter one Risen in the area you described.

Update: This will sound stupid but the bounty was complete.

I tried canceling the bounty from the character log but there was no option to do so, so I made my way back to the guy who gave me the bounty and there in the list of dailies, it said complete and I was able to collect the reward.

I got a chuckle out of this. Another tip for the Devs. When a bounty or quest is complete, lets have some indication in the character’s log that it’s complete.

This was my first attempt at performing bounties, I’ll chalk it up to learning curve, but thanks all those who responded. Cheers
