Armor Affixs That Do Not Belong

Having put in around 80 hours at time of writing I would like to add my 2 copper about gear affixes. I do not expect every enchantment to come out perfectly but some affixes just feel like a total waste. I will try to illuminate why rolling these stats makes the armor feel useless:

  1. Increased Item Durability” and “Indestructible
    Durability doesn’t seem to be an issue like, ever. And repairs are close at hand with powder and regular stops at Sacrament. I just don’t see why I would need more. Anything else in its place would feel better.

  2. Decreased Item Weight
    Finding something lighter than normal can help keep you in your preferred weight class without sacrificing armor. But the affix “Increased carry capacity” does the job better as it technically effects everything at once. One should be removed.

  3. Food Cool-down Reduction
    I may be the minority here but I just plain don’t like this one. I assume it exists so you can heal more regularly but I would much rather see “Regeneration” or “% Healing Increase”. Flat out more health or the chance to heal when getting hit. I think if the point is to stay healthier longer then we have better options than a second stomach.

  4. Experience Loss When Hit
    Now before I ask that this affix be thrown out immediately; I would like to say that I fully support the loss of things on DEATH. There should be a penalty for getting stomped. It adds tension to the fighting. But the above mentioned ugly stain is too much. I know that it does nothing while you are at maximum level but that’s just another reason to remove it.

Before I go I would like to add a level of praise for NOT including character stats on items at all. I can’t begin to explain how good it feels not to have to deal with armor that gives a bonus to a stat I’m not invested in. It really cleans up what characters can and cannot use when they find it. Which is the point of my suggestion of removing redundant or undesirable affixes.

Were there any I missed that you’d like changed or removed?
Any you would add entirely new?

It was an issue when the game came out, people complained a lot though, so the devs nerf it, it was the only consequence of dying, i still think they should implement a “get your tombstone back to get your xp back” kind of deal when you die, unless its the crucible.

Decrease item weight is awesome man, you can stack with the feather and make that item weight even less, with the respec option you can save a lot of points with that. Imagine a enchanted armor with both affixes, you can exalt it and make it even lighter.
There was a affix for %healing, did they take that off? I dont know, but less cooldown time for food is one of my favorite buffs inside the crucible against that bastard EK.

Experience loss is a trade off, remember the game will be longer and the level cap will increase, so you can make gear to gain levels faster this way and just become so overleveled that the bosses will be easier, but if you die you lose a lot of experience, but never enough to level down, if they do the loss of experience on death thing this should be removed, if not its a way for experienced players to level faster, i never use it though, i die a lot from falling hehehe.
