I think it would be cool if this game had Anniversary updates, so that every year in april we get a new version update.
Version 1.0 - April 2026
Version 2.0 - April 2027
that way Moon Studios will work with new updates for a whole year and then we get a wicked inside in the beginning of the new year leading up to a new version update.
I think this would help with gamers knowing that we will get a new update every year, instead of people asking when is there a new update, but with us knowing it will happen at a specific months every year!
Arbitrary deadlines are not a good idea for the health of a game.
Sometimes there will be updates that rebuild game systems, sometimes there will be updates that add content, sometimes there will be updates that add details to the game, and sometimes a mix of the three.
NRFTW is not a game that has predictable updates all of the same size like Fortnite, Updates should ship when they are ready, just common sense.
Imagine having a finished update but not releasing it for a couple of months because you have to wait for the anniversary date, or even worse having an update that isn’t finished and is full of bugs and then releasing it because it’s the anniversary date.
