A Breach in game Lore and my suggestion [Contains spoilers]

:warning: Spoiler Alert ! ! !
If you haven’t finished the “Faith and Fire” mission, don’t read this post !

Problem :
At the end of the campaign during the “Faith and Fire” mission, we saw the climax of this first chapter of the story with the “fall of the Mountain Gate” followed by the invasion of “pestilent bats,” and that’s exactly what I want to argue about in this post… It makes sense to start the invasion with flying creatures BUT what prevented them from flying over the gate ? Would a mountain be enough ? If so, then is Caylen inside a valley ?Of course it’s just a detail that went largely unnoticed but it made me a little paranoid, to the point that in this post I suggest some changes to the game’s lore to “solve” this breach (low-quality joke).
Suggestion:
My suggestion is to use Elsa to cover this gap. First: remove her from the beginning of the game, her first appearance in the Chamber of Cerim is after the Gate cutscene and then the Sayer reads the inscriptions, then Elsa appears (surprisely), she first gives a quick introduction about herself, saying she heard about the place and showed curiosity, now that the path and room are safe, she appears to study the chamber, without wasting time, she begins to analyze some inscriptions on the wall, ending her dialogue. Then she stays there studying. . .
Part Two: Beginning the “Faith and Fire” mission after speaking with the Sentinel and asking him to prevent the gate from falling, Elsa returns to Sacrament in search of the Cerim, she says she discovered that what appeared to be just a gate is actually a powerful talisman (or something like that) built by the ancient Cerim to prevent passage but mainly to ward off the pestilence, and that due to the impact of the blows to destroy the gate the stone mason’s shop floor gave way, revealing a secret chamber and that she would immediately go there (without showing any concern for the gate), thus beginning the “Spoken and Unspoken” mission.

I think that besides solving this problem (which may only be in my head) it would give Elsa’s character some value. I hope my suggestion was worth your attention and google translate have done a good work. . . Thank you for reading.

i thought the gate was exclusively there to not let the pestilence through, so i never thought about the problem with flying through. in my mind it probably is already sth like a talisman, but i rly like the thought u put into it and how u want to solve it. makes sense and fits the story. i like it.
