Look, when the game first came out you could add all sorts of utility runes to the Torch. Four runes for an item that never get used now. Why take that away? It was perfect! I could slot a repair rune into it to keep it running, I could slot health, I could slot stamina, I could enjoy using a torch in dark places without using the light rune on a two hander…Why take that away? Why add these unnecessary steps?
Sometimes your changes are moving farther away from what makes this game special and moving it towards mainstream nonsense. Not trying to be offensive, but sometimes the first try was gold.
Maybe because it’s giving players rope to hang themselves with.
Putting runes on torch is kind of wasted money and resources because torch will be destroyed after some use. Whilst you can have a second weapon with that exact same purpose.
If you are an experienced player with lot of money and you know what are you doing, then fine. BUT we know begginers have a bad experience and then it’s game’s fault.
The only thing I miss about the Torch is the fact that you could enchant it.. yeah I remember that we mostly used it as a stat stick before the breach patch.
I remember thinking that it would’ve been cool if the elemental infusions changed color/effects of the Torch and also having some special use like an alternative tool for applying blade oil.
Maybe the torch will become the crafting material for something else or maybe it’s going to get replaced and that might be why its kept where it is atm or it is just going to be a normal torch for special occasions?
Torches are getting reworked into permanent lanterns that have a separate equipment slot, so the changes to torch shouldn’t matter in the long run anyways because it’s entirely getting replaced.
Did you not read my post? A repair rune alotted will still give 3 others. I can repair the torch itself. Thats what i did for the first part of the release
