The presence of torches makes shields and bows and arrows a joke.
The torch’s bonus to the primary weapon gives it the strength to crush all two-handed weapons.The low selling price of the Torch further motivates players to put all their money into the lottery for the Torch’s attributes.
Yeah maybe nerf the possible attributes a lot.
And to still keep torches relevant a BG3 type plague dmg in dark places without a light source might be a cool idea. So someone in group has to be the torchbearer.
Maybe make it so that you dont have to repair it though. Just make it way less op so people dont just spam until they find indestructible one.
Maybe no bonuses to mainhand wep but simple stuff like minor health/focus regen?
I like the way torches works, since I don’t really like shields, makes one handed weapons have something more over using two handed weapons.
The durability system still suck tough, don’t know why they keep this on the game, since it doesn’t add anything but annoyance.
But you can actually get indestructible torches with nice other bonusses.
They will definitely nerf them I reckon.
I think they are a cool addition don’t need nurf shields and two handed need a buff imo and they could add even more off hands too.
First of all, a weapon’s entries determine its strength. One-handed weapons and torches share the entry pool with two-handed weapons, which means that torches plus one-handed weapons equal double the value of important entries, and the power they bring is much more than just one plus one equals two. In terms of strength, it surpasses two-handed weapons on all fronts.
I think the main problem is that one-handed weapons share a word pool with two-handed weapons.
You might be onto something here. Hope they look into it.
Maybe its as simple as doubling most of the values? They have to be additive though for that to work…
Actually yep, torches are pretty broken right now.
There is no point to play 2h-weapons. Maybe if the 2hw has higer % in enchantments than 1hand+torch would work.
Also, bows always have the same 2 enchantments as far as I saw which is pretty weird I think. And I don’t know if shields enchantments affects to the main weapon.
So, there is no point right now to not use 1hand+torch
(Also the infinite rune uses with %concentration make the situation even worst)
Yeah torches imbalanced the game. Maybe remove focus/health on damage dealt from their stat pool and make damage increase actually work.
But, before I would do that I think they need to rework the whole Focus Regen in the game.
