Can't use torches while fist weapon or two-handed weapon

So, I found out I can’t handle a torch while I have a fist weapon? idk but it feels weird not being able to use the torch in your off hand while having a fist weapon in your main hand, I feel like there should be a bottom to activate the torch in your off hand if you have a two handed weapon or fist weapon in main hand and of course if you activate the torch you should receive like a damage reduction by making your weapon one handed and changing the move set of the attacks, if you have fist weapon or two handed weapon like any other souls like game where having the torch in the offhand reduces your damage.
