This comes down to a bit of mismanagement on the part of the player though. There are multiple ways of healing. So that the usage of more expensive and limited food can be used as your last resort.
Life-steal gems
Use Increased Healing % enchantment affixes or gems in armor; basically making low-cost and plentiful food heal for much much more.
Healing Aura rune/spell
Enchantment affixes that provide healing, like Healing on Stagger, 6% Healing on Rune Use (flip to an offhand bow and chuck 7-focus arrows to refill your HP; damage doesn’t even matter), Healing % on Dodge, Parry, etc.
So you really should never be at a point where you ran out of food and need to go farm more if you plan for and manage your healing options better.
You are basically wanting the game to change and solve your lack of doing what is in your power to do.

I think they said they wanna have a “DARK ZELDA” so thats farer away from Soulslike. You can create Epic Boss Battles within a DARK ZELDA, but they should not be hard as Souls Like games.
I think, they can create different Zones for different playstyles.
I like the 1-30 Combat - so that it is hard and you have to take care of each enemy, but later on when you are in endgame, and you are well geared out, it could easily feel like an ARPG, maybe you need more trashmobs then, to speed the game up - and ending again in epic boss battles, that are harder, but not too hard (Zelda BOTW style). maybe you have 1-3 souls like bosses..
there’s also the cruicible that can be played like a roguelite hades style…
so you are going through many different gamestyles while your progress, why now.
the main problem is, they are trying to do everything, but not everything consequent enough maybe.
Warlan, your just picking fights in this thread to pick fights, is the game perfect? No is it in Early Access? Yes - They are still building it and as Thomas Mahler(sp?) has said on their discord server and on other platforms, the content will come upon release. They feel the rest of the Isle will be released with 1.0 and the current content is enough to test the systems they want to test. Do some reading if you would like to see what their plans and goals are please. Dont ask for a indepth story in Early Access when they have already stated the content is enough to test their current systems.

Are you forgetting about the drama about the bad reviews? I have read their goals and plans. And I think some of their priorities are wrong. It’s an opinion, DEAL WITH IT. They asked for our insight, I’m providing it.
