[UserImposed] Iron Pickaxe and Silver Pickaxe do not appear at the Blacksmith after upgrading his house to the correct tiers

I have upgraded Fillmore’s house to Tier 1 and Tier 2, but after each upgrade he only sells:

  • Iron Shovel after Tier 1

  • Silver Shovel after Tier 2

He does not sell the Iron Pickaxe or the Silver Pickaxe at all.

The only way they sometimes appear is by waiting a very long time for the Blacksmith’s shop inventory to reset, which feels inconsistent and unreliable.

In addition to this, at the Scribe Table, the Tools research category no longer shows the random research option (question mark). Because of this, I have no way to obtain the appropriate tools needed to mine higher-tier resources in higher-level areas.

This leaves the player effectively blocked from progression, despite having upgraded the Blacksmith correctly.

I have the same problem; I unlock the blueprints but they don’t appear in the workbench. It’s very frustrating.

just make it at the anvil, its RNG system for merchants

No, nothing is displayed at the anvil or the crafting workshop despite the large number of items unlocked in each category.

if you cant make it in the anvil , use rng on scribe table to obtain the blueprint and then make it. or wait for blacksmith . i was able to buy 2 randomly at one point

I’ve figured out the issue.
First, shop inventories are randomized, so you need to wait for the stock to refresh (as far as I know, this takes 24 hours of real time).
Second, the reason there’s no question mark icon at the research table—meaning I can’t research other tools—is because I haven’t upgraded the research table in Danos yet.
After upgrading the research table, the icon appeared and I was able to research the Iron Pick Axe.
