It would be nice to have a way to max out the weapon’s focus gain and to get it’s stamina cost and item weight to the lowest value through some further crafting on it (such as exalting enchantments and gems, but for base stats), instead of having to find the same item again and having to re-enchant …

[image] Patch Notes | The Breach Hotfix 1 :crossed_swords: Loot: Weapon damage and Armor no longer initialize a value from an interval when spawned, instead will use a set value Weren’t base stats already made a flat rate? Serious question I saw it in the patch notes and took it for granted.…

Nope, I just got a Cursed Crone staff that’s a measly 7 focus gain when earlier I got a 10 focus gain version. Same for Fallen Sky legendary, got a crappy 6 focus gain roll so the weapon is pretty much bricked (to be fair, it was already bricked with its two terrible fixed enchantments and the inab…

Oh word. Does exalting modify the base? (Again I just clicked and didn’t pay any mind to the base)

Unfortunately, no. Exalting just buffs the base damage and affixes and gem.

Fair enough. Yeah I knew about the base attack going up and the affixes. A part of me feels like looking for a good roll can be part of the charm of it all, since we’ve already been given so many deterministic crafting options for hard capping a character.

It’d be fine if you could target farm. But loot is way too random. 12 corpse smeared blades and 3 cudgels and some falstad shields. 1 single fallen sky staff after countless Crucible runs and all the content and pestilence levels farmed. 70 hours. A single legendary staff, and it’s got a roll th…

Please incorporate parry in your play, I beg of you. Let’s keep this to weapon base stats. No one is requiring you to wear cloth to play with mage weapons. I understand your appeal, it’s an RPG no on can take that away from you but I must add relying on auto attacks for focus generation is a fools …

We’re not gonna agree on armor. A mage is not a mage on mail or leather armor. Gale or Wyll won’t make any more sense on mail or plate armor than Lazael or Karlach will make wearing robes. The archetype makes the RPG. And melee for focus is not supplemental once you get the band of calmness for 25…

Time and a place, this is neither. This doesn’t belong on this thread. You’re continuing to reference BG3 as the apex of RPG yet it barely scratched the surface of D&D which it was modeled around. Would it fracture the ideas you have surrounding what armor and weapons a character “should” have know…

Right, but I’m not referencing DnD. I’m referencing specific characters and how designers present them and players perceive them. And I did not start the tangent about armor preferences, you brought it up how I needed to accept wearing something other than cloth. I just don’t think that telling peo…

Weren’t base stats already made a flat rate? Serious question I saw it in the patch notes and took it for granted. I haven’t been inspecting every drop.
