Hello everyone!
I was really looking forward to this big update, and I just want to say a huge thank you to the Moon Studios team — you guys are amazing! You’ve done an incredible amount of work, and it truly shows. This post is just to share some personal thoughts and observations about the interface and UI/UX in general.
1. Runes
New rune effects often appear, and sometimes I don’t know what a particular rune does. Unfortunately, I can’t just hover over the rune in the item tooltip to get more info. To find out what it does, I have to go to Eleanor, select the item in the rune section, and only then can I read its description. I really wish I could simply hover over the rune in the item’s description to see what it does.
2. Buffs
You can’t hover over active buffs to see their duration or effects. Maybe this is an intentional design choice, like in many Souls-like games, where such things remain ambiguous. Personally, I’m not a fan of that — but I’m just pointing this out as an observation rather than suggesting it urgently needs to be changed.
3. Enchantments / Item Modifiers
Items often have various modifiers — vampirism, increased healing, durability boosts, and more. From what I’ve noticed, it’s not very clear how to track or calculate these effects. I struggle to tell how much vampirism I have in total, where the extra HP or healing comes from, or how all the effects add up. This might just be my personal take, but I’d really appreciate having this kind of information displayed more clearly in the character stats.
4. Endurance / HP UI Elements
I feel like I might’ve missed something in the tutorial, but even now, running around in the sewers, I still don’t understand what the four triangles in the circular UI around the character actually represent or what they’re for.
5. Font & Localization
In languages other than English, some item descriptions overflow off-screen. Sometimes prices or weights aren’t fully visible either. It would be great to have an option to adjust the font size, or for the UI to adapt automatically based on text length. (Or maybe I just missed a setting for this somewhere?)
Thanks for reading! Again, this is just my personal feedback and thoughts while playing — I’m really enjoying the game overall, and I appreciate all the effort that’s gone into it!
