Twitch Drop problems

Hello, I have figured out how to connect my account to twitch via Captain Randolph. I accepted and everything but (my own fault) I hadn’t CLAIMED the item in Twitch before talking to him. I thought it was a connection issue so I removed the connection in Twitch, but now it won’t seem to prompt me for a new connection. It just keeps saying unable to connect. Any idea how to create a new connection?

Same here, I’ve linked my twitch and moon studio acc 2 years ago. After speaking with Randolph it opened a browser window with a linking code. I somehow missed that Songkeeper was already placed in my inventory. So I tried to relink my twitch, and after disconnecting moon acc from it, I spoke with Randolph only for him to give me a “Connection failed” message. I tried the code he gave me before, but it doesn’t work.

UPDATE. After some time has passed (few hours (2-3)). I’ve tried again and got a new link from Randolph. Now my twitch yet again connected with moon studio acc.

Yes, same! Disconnected last night, and just tried again today and it gave me the prompt to authorize!

Thank you both for adding that solution!

i connected to twitch earlier and watched a stream for the allotted time, got a notification that i can claim in game now, went to game tried to claim but said no rewards, went back to twitch, disconnected from MoonStudios ACCT in connection under settings tab, now whenever i try to connect via Randolph again it always says connection failed. i tried logging in and out of both steam and twitch, and reverified game files, i do not know what to do

Waiting a few hours helps. I just got a new link from him after being away for 2-3h. Also, Twitch rewards just appear in your inventory. I didn’t see getting anything from Randolph menu, but I’ve got my reward.

Yes, give it a few hours or a day and try again with the captain. Make sure you also claim the item in Twitch before talking to him. It told me I didn’t have anything but it WAS in my inventory after.

I’ve watched the streamers and have the drops unlocked in my Twitch Profile.

I talked to the captain, and a browser was open, I hit connect, and alt-tabbed back to the game. I was not able to claim the items, so I thought I would reconnect the Twitch account. I disconnected the Twitch connection, on the Twitch interface, and spoke again to the Captain. However, this did not present me with a second prompt to connect my account. Instead, I just an error that the connection failed.

I have tried a second new game character, spoke to the captain, and see a conversation prompt from the captain to either claim my twitch prize or connect my account. When I select connect my account, I get the same error on either character. Image attached.

I need the game to understand the account is not connected, and get a ‘new code’ to connect my device on the Twitch page. The old code no longer works.

I have another bug. I got my drop on Twitch before connecting my account in game and Twitch. I talk with Captain and made connection but i can’t have my Songkeeper.

Check if twitch is connected to steam. Then try to connect the game to twitch.

I have linked account, got it on twitch, but the dude in the game say I don’t have anything to claim.

I have Twitch connected to Steam and 2K. It doesnt show connections to Moon.
Think support will have to give me a new code to connect with.

Most other places I am seeing this solved because a portal is offered from the game side, or game site. In this instance their portal is in-game and behind Captain’s interface. Looks like because I attempted the connection and failed, the game will not me initiate another attempt, with new code, from their side.

Twitch has an option to connect from their side, but when you click the link, it just points to Moon’s drop announcement page rather than a usable portal.

Think this means I’ll never be able to get another Twitch drop until they give me a new code, or put out a portal.

I connected steam and twitch everything properly… watched streamers… but ingame i cant connect to twitch… :frowning:

I think this is strange, because I’ve created several alts on different realms and claimed rewards multiple times today.

  1. Claim reward inside twitch

  2. on your Twitch profile, are you connected to Steam inside the page Settings → Connections → Check that you have a green mark like me:

  1. Then open your game to talk to Captain Randolph > Entitlements > Connect To Twitch from within the game, the activation code should be filled in automatically.

If nothing helps then it must be a bug or something :beetle:

… my brothers in Christ… I am so embarrassed.
I checked everything @YavindPew recommended, rebooted, and it worked.

Thank you @YavindPew!

I cannot say for sure if it was the reboot that fixed it, but it seemed to be required.

Glad it helped!

Have a nice day!

I got my reward today. After dialogue with the captain, the game asked me to link the account again. Looks like little bug
