Timed button input to save from sliding off edge

It would be great to be able to grab a ledge within a small time window as you slid off it. Could just apply to knockdown slides rather than being launched through the air.

I have no knowledge of programming but doesn’t feel like it would be super hard to implement as climbing animations exist.

Please consider.

Nioh series has this, when you get struck to a ledge, your character will do a comical arm windmilling pause as they teeter on one leg - if you get hit again or fail to do a dodge input during the window, you’re ledged, but if you react you can tech back to standing.

Honestly something similar would be fitting in this game.

Yeah I don’t mind the odd falling to my death; it’s quite comical but sometimes it just feels unfair like when an enemy uses their knockdown move on you as soon as you haul your ass up a ladder. I feel like if it was a difficult timed button press it would feel good to save yourself in this way, maybe only if you have stamina left or something. Could leave you hanging on the edge.
