The SFX of interacting with objects could use a rework

I’ve been playing the game for 2 months now and I still can’t get used to the SFX when interacting with objects. It sounds pretty much like a sword or knife unsheathing. When you’re randomly exploring an area and say, you pass by a digging spot, the SFX plays and I’m always in doubt if there’s an enemy around on a hidden part of the screen or on a higher/lower level readying his weapon to attack me. It’s quite jarring.

Ah you think the unsheating sound and digging sounds to much the same? I haven’t really thought about it but I can see what you mean!

Not just the digging, the SFX plays whenever you’re close to a plant to collect, a ladder to climb, a wall to siddle, etc. In many cases it’s quickly obvious what the sound is pointing to, but when you’re exploring and expecting an enemy the SFX plays so frequently that it gets unnerving. “Am I being attacked?”. Many times I struggle at first figuring why the SFX played, then I see the digging pit next to me partially hidden by tall sunflowers.

A more distinct SFX that doesn’t sound as threatening or ominous as a sword unsheathing would help in quickly assessing the situation. Thanks for the reply, so far I’m loving the game!
