After the update on July 25th, my game no longer opens. It loads everything correctly and when I would go to the menu, it just closes abruptly.
It keeps opening in Beta Perf DIagnoses mode, but without my characters and my save.

Hey! You mention it opens in perf diagnosis mode – do you have any betas selected in the Steam Properties?
The only “beta” option that appears for me is this.
I’m using this mode for now.
It needs to be set to None – otherwise you are in perf_diagnosis which is not the latest update

So I’ll only be able to play the update when this problem is resolved, right?
Yes, if you don’t set the beta to None then you won’t be able to play the update cause its not on that branch
