Games crash after Latest Update (Breach refined)

The game doesn’t start after updating, I press login, after 2-3 seconds the screen goes black (or nothing happens at all) and the game turns off. I tried all available methods, driver updates (nvidia 576.80), c++ libraries, ran from the administrator, checked file integrity, turned off G-SYNG, reinstalled the game on another disk, no progress. System : win 11 24H2, i5 13600kf, 4070 ti, 32G ddr5, m2 disk.

We are aware of this issue occurring for a small amount of folks and will fix it in hotfix 1. If you want an immediate fix, please do the following:

  1. Open the game
  2. Open %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Moon Studios\NoRestForTheWicked\DataStore
  3. Open AccountSettings_LOCAL.dat
  4. Change “LastKnownSteamLanguage”:“” to “LastKnownSteamLanguage”:“english” where english is whichever language you are using, all lower caps.
  5. Close the game and wait for Steam Cloud to sync
  6. Reopen the game

And it should be good to go!

Hello,

I have the exact same problem, game open and immediatly close.
I bought the game a few days ago and when i saw a big patch was coming i choose to wait before playing the game, i tried to launch the game for the first time today after the patch and i have this problem.

I dont know if it’s because i never launched the game before but i dont have the AccountSetting_LOCAL.dat in the datastore folder.
