Suggestion: Enemy Ragdoll on Deaths caused by Blunt Weapons

There have been some recent changes to the death animations to make them more visual - which I really like btw.

But, I noticed that when I swap between Summer’s Sting (2h Greatsword (Slashing)) and the Rostock (1h Hammer (Blunt)) the death animations remain largely the same. For instance, the larger Gloam enemy is slashed to bits, certain parts are cut off etc. For a 2h Greatsword this makes sense as it deals slashing damage, not so much for a blunt hammer. I realize different physical damage types are not in the game, but this is mainly for aesthetics. Now, it would be pretty cool if there was more diversity between the death animations depending on what weapon caused it.

Maybe for blunt weapons we can have something similar to ragdolling in Titan Quest when you activate a Power Shrine and start yeeting Satyrs across the screen - those were quite satisfying :sweat_smile:

and i agree i think it could be depending on the attack angle, everything that goes somewhat upward should send them flying, everything down gibbing. for blunt weapons only.

I guess they’ll have another pass/iteration on that system, especially with the coming elemental rework that they’re not really happy with right now.

We’ll see, but of course, we gotta point that out and geek out on it a bit :wink:
