I have a wonderful time playing this game in the past few days mainly using a controller.
Here are some improvements that could be made to enhance the overall experience.
- Player should be able to pick hold and regular key manually. This will make keybinding more flexible. In case player wanted to use separate keys for the current fixed hold actions. The current “run” action is fixed as a hold key which doesn’t make much sense if player wanted to have a dedicated “run” button which holding the key doesn’t make much sense.
- Some of the actions should be separated. Currently some crucial actions like attack or offhand rune is fixed to have multiple actions by holding the keys. For example player with a controller with extended buttons may wanted to have attack and charge attack on different buttons this is not currently possible.
- Some actions should have its own assignable option like Shoulder barge.
- Not sure if this is an intended behavior or not but Player should be able to leave some keys unassigned. Currently the game leaves some action unassigned by default (toggle walk/run and target lock) and when I updated some keys the game will ask me add those missing keys, which I don’t need them assigned.
- This is mostly my personal preference but the game main menu is difficult to navigate. It would be really nice if the game have selection wheel (similar to emote selection wheel) added as an option to go to the specific menu instead of manually scroll through the list every time.
