I have noticed that some weapons do not have their rune attacks usable on the controller (this might be an Xbox controller binding issue), but are usable on the mouse and keyboard.
An early game example is the Blood-rusted sword. Its rune attack, spin is not usable on the controller
The rune attack icon does not appear in the UI menu and is unusable on the controller. When trying to use the rune attack where it should be (LT + x) it just results in a charge attack. When switching back to mouse and keyboard in game, the UI switches, the rune icon returns, and the rune attack is usable again.
Does anyone else have this issue with any other weapons? I have only tested some strength weapons, but I am currently making a dex character to check those weapons later.

I have exactly the same issue with the X-Box Controller and my Buddy with his Steam Deck. Im a little baffled that no one else reported this problem tbh
edit: this only happens with a legendary one Handed Weapon. No issues with purple 2 handers so far
using Nintendo switch USB controller but it reads as XBOX in game so not sure if that matters, this bug is back specifically for those assigned to the X or left rune slot. I can’t cast a fireball on my controller but I can press 1 on my keyboard to cast just fine. this applies to all weapons I’ve tried. The Y/top/2 rune slot works normally and I haven’t gotten far enough in my play-through to have a 3rd rune. Dropbox
